“Feels like a time warp back to the 90's. When I was a kid, we never went here because we couldn't afford it. So when I went, as an adult, my expectations were not met. I always assumed it was an upscale place with better-than-average food and service. Nope, pretty much average. Decor seems really dated. Service was good, but nothing special. Food was okay, but didn't have a whole lot of flavor. The fact that the clientele was mostly people in their 60's seems to support my thesis that it hasn't changed much since I was a kid. If you want seafood in Tyler, there are way better options.”

“Wife had the BBQ Shrimp. She liked it. Daughters chicken tenders with mac n' cheese was good. I ordered the Lone Star burger. It was lukewarm like it had been heated in a microwave. The fries were slightly warm. I sent mine back and it was taken off my ticket. The manager was very nice and professional. Even offered to cook me something else but I declined. This is not for everybody. If you like traditional cuisine this is not the place for you. If you like a different spin to your food, then this place will work for you.”

“Food is inconsistent. My sushi burrito was pretty good but the egg rolls were obviously microwaved. They were chewy instead of crispy. Do not plan to eat in comfortably after schools let out. Apparently this is a hang out spot for Jr high kids. It was so loud I could hardly order. And some teens actually brought pizza and other snacks inside to eat. They weren't even customers here. The guy was nice enough but obviously not paid enough to care. Overall disappointing but would maybe try a sushi roll or bowl to go next time.”

Loved the avocado slices on top added a freshness to the taco. Other people in our party got fried fish and crawfish which was tasty. Also the fried pickles were a tasty starter. “I don't know why this place isn't more popular. Maybe the location, since it doesn't stand out when you drive by. There are lots of good BBQ joints in town, but Dickey's is my top choice. It's a little pricier than some of the others, but they have a great menu, and the service is great. I especially like the options for sides. The creamed spinach and potato salad are awesome. They also offer three varieties of sauce, and you can help yourself and try all three. I like the sweet. Check them out.”
