Still one of my favorite places in Austin to this date. I have been going to Baby As around 20 years so for a new comer going to the restaurant, it's always crazy, there is always a wait that is just Austin for you! The Margaritas are some of the best I've had and the food is great Tex Mex! Austinites be appreciative of places like this because you will not find them out of state!
Drinks are delicious. Puffy tacos are outstanding. Must have been an off night, because our server was distracted. But other wait staff were more than accommodating to our needs. Enchiladas were very good too. You really can't go wrong here.
I used to go to Baby A’s all the time and I was sad to learn that the I-35 location closed. I hadn’t been to a Baby A’s in a long time. I went with my girlfriend and the service was amazing. Management was always checking on everybody. Waiters and waitresses were quick and attentive. They were always moving and my drink was never empty. The food was amazing and the drinks are great too! I love the atomosphere and I will definitely be returning here to have some more great times. Money well spent and like I said, I will be returning. Keep up the good work.
This is a really cool place to drink PURPLE MARGARITAS! The staff is friendly, food is really really good! But what made me write a review was Miguel’s customer service. He was attentive, and actually had a personality. Unlike infamous restaurants in Austin who have good food but terrible service or robot servers/waitress. Thank you Miguel for making me and my husband’s day!
Yum yum Mexican food!!! I love this place and it is a notch above many other Mexican places.
First off the salsa is so good. It’s spicy, garlicky and you can’t stop eating it. I dipped everything I could in that little salsa bowl and yes it was good.
The baby A soup is tasty as any other tortilla soup would taste like. Except it has a lot more chicken, tender shredded chicken topped off with a slice of avocado. I like it, warms me right up today.
The second half of the soup combo is a nice healthy side of Spanish rice with a taco. I picked puffy taco with chicken. It’s good but the puffy taco is little dense than I like. But all and all it is still good.
Happy eating.
