I've been there a couple of times with agents in my real estate office to reward them for their productivity. The Austin Grill has a fun environment, a varied menu, great service with engaging staff and very reasonable prices. For a special evening, I would make reservations.
The old rule for steaks still applies here: "Order on the rare side as you can always cook up a steak but if it's overdone, there's no going back!" Ordered med rare and it was pink in the middle but my co-worker asked for med well and it was beyond well done...jerky! The staff were all very professional and attentive.
Loved the place because it's nice and quite for the afternoon time during the week. Food is great. It's fair to mention that service in not very fast, it took us time to be seated and to get other services (worth mentioning that food was prepared in a very timely manner and was fresh and delicious when we got it). Not suitable for someone in a hurry to grab some food and go. A little pricey
Wanted this place to be better than it was. Our server was just checked out and not friendly. We went on a weeknight and there were a few other tables, but it was not busy. Our waitress would disappear for long periods and never checked back with us. We had to flag down another server to ask for water, again for someone to take our order and AGAIN to get our bill. Was pricey, considering the quality and the service. I had a $16 artichoke, which was good but --$16 for a single vegetable?! My husband and daughter had a steak and it was fine. Not great, not bad just - fine. Overall just a meh experience.
Enjoyed the new $34 Sunday 3 course prix fixe. Wedge salad, prime rib, and dessert (ice cream). Ample portions on every dish. Pretty good service though our waiter told us it was his first day on the job and he was a little tentative.
