JOI Asian Bistro

Great vibes, the staff was great, cool place to be however don't go hungry, the food portions are really small. I ordered the lobster tacos which all 3 of my tacos could comfortably fit in one hand and my chicken fried rice was the amount I would give my 7 yr old kid but it still is a cool place to visit.

JOI Asian Bistro is going above and beyond to ensure the customer experience is outstanding. Every interaction with the staff; from hostesses to servers to the people bringing out food, was very pleasant...all of them displayed great hospitality, kindness and professionalism; I was impressed with how the restaurant was runed considering it is fairly new and we went right after the crazy winter storm in Texas.

Besides the remarkable service, the food at JOI is solid as well...it is a Asian fusion restaurant, so you can see Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean food and more on their menu. I wouldn't say the food is entirely authentic, but would described it as "refined Asian food with a creative twist." Overall, even though it is not the very traditional type of Asian food, the taste is still bold and outstanding!
Drinks at JOI is unique as well...we tried a couple and I would say most did a great job in combining the unique flavors and made it work well together but there were a few that the flavors got complicated and it did conflict with one another, but again, overall their creativity in the drinks is appreciated.

I gotta praise the dining experience at JOI, especially our server, Lauren! The atmosphere at JOI is inviting and intimate...we sat outside by the beautifully lit tree and Lauren did an excellent job in taking care of us. Lauren was not only friendly but she also pays good attention to details and makes helpful recommendations...she really made us felt very welcomed and comfortable throughout the dining experience. Not only Lauren, but it looks like all the staff were very well trained in hospitality.

All in all, JOI definitely made an impression! There are not that many Asian restaurants in Austin that have this level of service/atmosphere...JOI is certainly an unique and great add to the overly commercialized Domain. Hope they can continue this positive momentum and make it in this competitive Austin restaurant market!

The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, the service was perfect, and the ambiance is definitely something I could get used to at least once a week.

From the moment you walk into the restaurant, you feel welcomed and comfortable. The best dining experience I’ve had in a very long time.

All I can say is WOW from the food to the drinks and service. This place has it all. I was taught a lesson in sake while dining here and ate my weight in sushi. The lounge really gives it a jazzy vibe at night and the GM came to speak to us personally. Will be back
