Central machine works has a full bar, a large hang out space with couches and chairs, and an art gallery to peruse. The out door space is very large with a stage for a band, fire pits and lawn furniture. It gets very busy on the weekends and the parking is lacking. This is a great addition to Austin craft beer scene.
Love this place! We live in the neighborhood and are so excited for this addition! Large open space with plenty of seating inside and outside — and kid friendly! While others may gripe about a ‘long’ wait for drinks at the bar; I felt they were adequately staffed and the wait time seemed very appropriate for how busy they are. Service was friendly and the cocktails were delicious. I’m looking forward to their house brews when they’re ready!
They only had a Mosaic IPA of theirs on tap but it was top notch. The other taps were filled with Austin classics like Carl and Zoe. The space is huge and well designed, the backyard is also huge and a great place to hang out. They plan to start brewing in their facility at the start of the year. Looking forward to more of their beers
Nice atmosphere, had only one House brew. Limited selection of other local craft beers. A bit pricey. Ample parking. Pretzel with beer cheese dip was very good. Other food looked good, burgers and pizza.
Brilliant idea to preserve a beautiful Austin structure and bring it to a modern gathering venue. Love the concept of bringing cocktails and warm drinks to the brewery. I tried 2 kinds of pizzas, both crispy crusts and delicious. It was a cold night and the outdoor seating-garden was as cold as the indoors. I wish they work the heating or close the big doors early to have the option of a warmer section. Great addition to East Austin.
