Calzone was good. Loved the garlic butter crust. Dining room was nice and roomy, large tables. Can seat probably 45 people. Prices are comparable to all the rest of the pizza businesses”

“The new location is very convenient for dropping in for the lunch buffet. The parking isn't too bad, but it fills up quickly. Street parking is available nearby. There is plenty of table seating inside with a small bar-height are near the kitchen if that's your thing. The buffet is very good when they are serving normal pizzas. I'm not sure if you can request, but the last time I was there they suddenly had 8 pizzas that no one wanted and seemed like pizzas only a few people might order. Pepperoni rolls and dessert are always available. The salad bar is hidden in an alcove behind the buffet line and that's where the marinara is kept. Happy hunting! Currently delivery is not available; which is unfortunate. But, it's not the end of the world.”

“The location is historic and the environment that’s cultivated within the restaurant is something any owner would be proud of. The food was great. ( Addressing the negative reviews about portion sizes and food quality) I believe the location is cultivating historic sandwiches and if they were to update the menu and put 2019 portion sizes into a place famous for sandwiches made in the 1800’s we would lose a piece of history as appetites ,weight, and daily caloric intake was massively different that long ago. It’s fun to dip into that time and grab a bite of history. Find out for yourself and visit.”

I like what the place stands for more than I like the food, but that doesn’t mean the food is bad. “Great place if you want to have a great time with family and friends. If you don't like salty things, ask for the bread dry, as it's usually covered with salt. A couple cons with this place are that: 1. The desserts are pretty small, so order one for every person at your table. 2. The portions are a bit too big for my liking and might be for yours. Just a heads-up.”
