And the pulled pork… everyone knows pulled pork is bland and usually dry if not doused in BBQ sauce, right? Not true here. It was moist and tender and had a lot of flavor, so it is a great option on a keto diet. I'll be coming back here every time I come through the area.”

“I thought my sister cooked the best brisket one could hope for but his gentleman nails it and is the best. He also has pull pork, smoked chicken and sausage. He's across from Walgreens on the hill and it is definitely causal dining. He serves out if a train car, a caboose I believe, and has a picnic table you can eat at or sit while you wait for your order. I try and go there at least once a month! “After touring SHSU we wanted Mexican food for a late lunch. We like to try different places and this promised El Salvadoran/Mexican food. Sort of a blend, I guess. It is a little out of sight coming from Sam, but not hard to find. We were seated promptly and even at 2:00 it was half-full. Our waitress was very nice and worked hard the whole time. It is not fancy inside but is clean and not greasy. The food was very good and the prices were very reasonable. For our family of 4 we paid just under $49 for 4 entrees and drinks. We did not get an appetizer. I would gladly eat there again.”

There was a little mix up where they didn't sub in steak for ground beef, but not a big deal. The happy hour margaritas were delicious. “Sonics has always been and is currently one of my favorite places to grab fast food. The staff is usually very friendly and the order is quickly and professionally done and served with a smile. They offer daily specials and a daily happy hour. The menu is complete and offers all day breakfast specials as well as specials that begin in the evenings and on special days. My favorite is the Texas toast with sausage egg and cheese and the best part of it is that the sandwich is offered all day long. Do yourself a favor and try Sonics an outstanding place”

“Man, this Denny's is The Bomb! Not only is the restaurant neatly designed and laid out, but it is very clean and in order. I recommend it to everyone wanting a positive dining atmosphere. I took my sons here for a breakfast dinner, and we were treated amazingly well! It was at a somewhat slow part of the day, on a Saturday, so the Manager (Mr. Mike) went into the kitchen and cooked our meal himself! What a guy! The staff was very friendly. The food was fresh, hot & delicious! It was a delightful experience, and they have certainly won my patronage! “Within walking distance of work, I usually find myself here once every week or so. While the food is the typical selection of Subway sandwiches and soups, this particular restaurant seems to have one of the highest turnover rates in town. Rarely do I encounter the same team member more than once, and when I do, it's usually not for very long. Yes, scheduling and my timing might play a significant part in that, but I still think it's worth noting because I feel pretty strongly that it's the primary reason the sandwiches are so inconsistent. That said, it's never been a horrible experience and the food is usually on par with any other Subway I've eaten at. If you're looking for a semi-cheap sandwich on the West side of town, you probably won't find a better option for the price.”
