“I am giving four stars because our food came out cold. Why would I give four stars for cold food you might ask? Because the staff apologized and made it right. Also, this location has been open less than a week and posted signs upon entering that staff is in training. Because of this, I tend to give much more leniency in my rating because it isn't easy being in the food business. Overall, the restaurant was clean, well lit and properly decorated for the style they wanted to achieve in our town. Being a more rural area the rustic appeal makes it very comfortable. All the booths and tables looked new and were very comfortable to sit in without being cramped. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Some of the pricing seemed a little more than other places but the portions were plentiful for what you paid. In my opinion the coffee was good without the overly bitter stuff you get from most chain places. The cold food I mentioned above was a product of training the kitchen staff we were told. I'm OK with that. Everyone has to learn and start somewhere even the cooks. If this place had been open for years and I got cold food I probably wouldn't go back but I definitely will go back because we were brought hot replacement food immediately and an apology as well. An apology always goes a long way. Thanks Hometown Restaurant for a good breakfast. My wife and I will be back!”

“This place is great! We had the loaded queso, and split combo fajitas. Their margaritas are excellent and they have a nice selection of tequila. I loved the decor, lighting, and layout of the restaurant felt really good, and I love the open kitchen. Their staff is great, bartender was very friendly and funny. We sat at the bar and ate and got food and drinks fast. Will be back!”

“The pork chop was good and the greens were good. The gravy had a slightly burnt taste but perhaps that was because of the freezing cold weather and very few customers. I did find one fork that wasn't clean but everything else was good and they have good fried pies, Ive heard. The pies were gone so want able to try them. The manager was nice and friendly and they have some nice stuff like cracker barrel for sale except on a mini scale.”

“I always enjoy this Taco Bell as they seem to be the only ones who can wrap a burrito in a way that it doesn’t fall apart when I eat, Decatur could learn a lesson or two. However tonight I had a longer wait for food than expected, not a big deal, however to make up for it I was given two coupons for a free taco..... that expired 12/31/18. That’s like hanging someone a pack of gum offering them a piece only for them to find out it’s empty. Very disappointed :/”

“This place was hopping and happening on the weekend. We walked in to a pick of any open table and only took a minute or two before one was ready. Despite being busy our server was very attentive and friendly. And the kitchen was working hard to get the food out as fast as possible. And the food was great! The chicken fried steak for breakfast was really good. And the bacon from one of the other plates at the table was just to good not to pass up. One of us had biscuits and gravy....which is made with their homemade biscuits. A definate regular repeat for us.”
