R and R is the good place to go for great barbecue. I had the brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese and coleslaw for sides. The bun was soft and chewy and delicious the pickles were crispy and cool and their sauce is also not too sweet and not too hot.
I also had the fresh lemonade. And guess what It tasted like fresh lemonade. Very nice on a hot day.
Thanks R and R.
The food was really good, hush puppies aren't the best but I did like in the south for a while so they were pretty decent. The meat was great and they offer a wide variety of barbecue sauces. The forgot my order but were quick to help when I pointed it out. The were also really covid friendly! This is a good R&R location.
Some of the best BBQ I've had west of the Mississippi! —definitely in Utah. Everything was well cooked and seasoned. I got the two meat plate, with brisket and ribs (you can get the brisket chopped or sliced), but the REAL star (for me) were the hush puppies! Crispy on the outside, soft inside, and such great seasonings.
Be warned, the Mac n Cheese is the gooey american cheese kind, not cheddar. Still delicious, but not my favorite.
Had their three nest plate, with sausage, chicken and brisket. Sampled using their original, sweet and Carolina sauces. The Carolina had some kick to it. All of the meats had great flavor with out the sauces. Topped it off with their grandma's peach cobbler. This cobbler was some of the best I've tasted, you could taste the peaches with just the right amount of sugar. If you haven't visited here, give it a spin.
My wife and I LOVE their boneless chicken. It's very moist, flavorful and they give out hearty portions. She can't get enough of the fried okura and always has to order that.
We ordered over the phone right when they opened and within 20 minutes, they had my order prepared...and more importantly, correct!
We love this place and we treat it as our "treat" whenever we get it, as it's expensive (per comparison to other local lunch places) and it's fun to treat ourselves to a great meal.
