HUGO'S hosted a family dinner last night for a large group after a memorial service. You and your staff did a great job of setting us up in our own little area down stairs, the food was excellent and the serving well timed. Your staff was attentive, patient and good natured.
Thank you for a job well done. I will spread the good word of your top notch restaurant and staff.
The meal was absolutely delicious and the server was very nice and welcoming. I ordered the artifact cider beer which was very tasty and definitely made at the restaurant. All the food was perfect and locally sourced as well. I will definitely be going back on my next trip to montepelier, VT😃🍻. Also if you are debating a dessert, stop debating and get the warm cookie skillet with vanilla ice cream, it will probably be the best one you have ever had!
This place has been completely redone and is gorgeous inside. The bar lighting and colors are stunning. The piano bar and lounge upstairs is something Montpelier has been missing. AND the burger is the best burger in town! Cool assortment of cocktails, friendly staff, and tuna tartar!! (Montpelier has never had tartar - that I know of - and it was delicious) I highly recommend the place and will definitely be returning to sample the rest of the menu. A great addition to Montpelier's downtown!
The space is completely renovated, its decor is airy, spacious and modern. The food is contemporary American and includes wonderful cheese from a local Vermont farmer. Service was friendly and attentive.
Two things I wish. 1. They had someone at the host’s station or someway of letting the wait staff know guests are waiting at the entrance. 2. That they offer a hot soup on their lunch menu on cold days.
The top floor would be a good place to rent out for a small wedding reception or business event.
I will definitely be back.
Very exciting to have another chill spot in Montpelier! The atmosphere of this gem is great. In the dining room it was quiet enough to connect with a friend, while still being so fun. The downstairs bar area is very cool with a laid back, fun vibe. The food was also great - the grilled cheese was quite unique and the salad is exactly what you’d want. Our waiter, Andrew, said it was his first shift - but he was so kind and informative. I’ll be back and I’d highly recommend giving this place a shot!
