Three Penny Taproom

Came here because I was staying in town for work and looking for a place with good food and craft beer. I sat at the bar and ordered a Hill Farmstead beer on tap and a smoked chicken salad sandwich with a side of greens. The beer tasted fresh and delicious as always for HF beers, and the sandwich was superb, unlike any chicken salad sandwich I’ve tasted before, but in a good way. The bartenders were attentive and helpful as well, so I plan to make a return trip!

The best atmosphere, staff and creative bar food plus great brews and cocktails! You never go wrong here any day or night! Thank you for being in Montpelier.

Nice place for drinks and bites!

We often sit at the high stools by the side entrance with floor to ceiling glass and watch the locals strolling by!!

Best craft beer spot in Montpelier. Small food menu, but everything on it is extremely tasty. Very nice atmosphere and friendly bartenders and servers. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a good beer bar. The burger and fries are worth a trip even if you don't drink.

Fantastic place. Their food is wonderful, and they use local sources when possible. I had the burger while my husband had the sausage, and it was excellent. Great selections overall. I highly recommend them.
