“The Pitcher Inn is beautiful. The dining room is elegant with wonderful artwork and working fireplace. Dinner was very good but portions were very small for the price. The menu is limited with 4 first course options and 5 entrees. We determined the same menu is offered in Tracks, the lovely tavern downstairs, although there was confusion about this. Our server told us the menu in the tavern was different, which one would expect. The endive salad had 6-7 leaves for $15. Entrees ranged from $34 for beetroot risotto to $46 for beef tenderloin. Service was slow. It was 10 minutes before we saw our server after being seated. She did tell us they were down one server. There was confusion about our reservation. A message was left confirming a few days before requesting a call back. I left a message saying we were looking forward to dinner. I received a call saying our reservation had been cancelled. When I asked why, I was told she had a lot of messages and was mixed up. When we arrived they said we had no reservation and she could see we cancelled. After further review we were told someone had already been seated for our reservation. Funny thing is we were the only table of 2. For the price you expect more attention to detail.”

“I don’t know if I can go back to regular pizza after this. Their sourdough crust has such a unique taste and it’s the perfect inbetween of thin and thick crust. Goldilocks would say it’s just right. The pies are huge, and they don’t skimp on toppings. Two pizzas consistently feeds our group of four with just a slice or two left over. Their hours do change quite a bit during these times though — make sure you check ahead!”

“The owner, Dino, is awesome and makes the finest sandwiches around. Great selection of local craft beer and only boars head meats plus solid pricing. Combined now with his bar, The Reks, this is a perfect spot to ski to for lunch or for apres ski drinks and/or dinner. Local top pick especially if staying near the mountain and don’t want to go down the access road.”

“We came to Castlerock Pub after being ignored at Rumble's Kitchen. Castlerock had double the business, yet we were immediately greeted and served within minutes. The place was slammed on the 4th of July for the fireworks, yet I found the bartenders to be professional and courteous. Whomever trained them did a top-notch job! They saved our evening and we enjoyed our drinks and watched some TV before the fireworks. Great place, thank you!”

“Wonderful Thai food in the heart of Sugarbush, a welcome change from burgers and fries! You can spice up your order or keep it 'calm', pad thai with shrimp is delicious, as are the crispy fried vegetarian rolls, so many good items to choose from. The restaurant is also open 7 days a week, so no excuse not to try it out-the owners work very hard to keep the flow going and diners happy. Perfect for a cold winter's evening in Vermont......”
