“Awesome food! Your favorite place you haven't been to yet. Cozy Diner with a warm staff. Well portioned plates that are sourced from their backyard or local farms. The sausage in the Cajun skillet was buttery and flavorful. The corned beef hash was second to none. To top it all off the coffee was strong without being bitter. I fell in love and I'll be coming back again and again. I just wish I had found this place sooner!”

“Homemade hash is an all time favorite. They serve the best Breakfast in town. Friendly owners and staff. The batter on their Whole Belly clams is very light and they melt in your mouth. “Cajun night!! Our favorite. I had a Mary and the Boys (Bloody Mary with a couple of hangers-on (shrimp), and the husband had what he termed "the best mojito." We had fried alligator and fried oysters for apps, and they were both tender, juicy and fried to perfection. The hubs had shrimp creole, and he loved it. I had soft shell crabs that were served with my favorite greens and a very light and tasty coleslaw, and let me tell you, they were fabulous! Top this all off with shared cream puffs - again excellent with a wonderful vanilla pudding center, drenched in a chocolate sauce that made us want to lick-the-plate! Oh - and the best coffee! All served up by a friendly, attentive server. Run, don't walk, to the New England House!”

The phrase "Bakery and cafe" is somewhat misleading, this is definitely more of a diner or restaurant. I ordered to go, thinking that's something easily done at cafes. 25 minutes later, I had my food. If you want your food to go, call ahead and give ample time!”

“A group of us had the pleasure of eating dinner at Bella Notte at the Brattleboro Golf Club for Mother’s Day. We started with specialty drinks, bloody Marys made with their own mildly spicy mix and Cucumber vodka and light and fresh peach Bellinis. It was a wonderful start to a fabulous dinner. The Italian specialties were made fresh with well prepared sauces and fresh vegetables. The staff went out of their way to make it a special day for the moms in the group. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.”

The poutine was not only delicious and complex but could serve as appetizer for four people with it's generous portion. “I have visited The Works frequently, and would consider myself a regular! Their emphasis on the foods they serve are - value and healthy meals. That said, I can never see past their awesome BLT on Sour Dough Bread. Each time I visit, I vow to try something different. But I always end up ordering this as it is so good. The Works has a varied menu, much of it Organic. They also have a great selection of Smoothies, salads and Sandwiches. Prices are pretty good. Service is excellent too. Employees are so polite and professional, and helpful. If there was one criticism I could make, it would be to add more areas where customers can sit and use there phones, tablets or other electronic devices while plugged in. As far as I can see, there is only two plugs available. If customers could plug their devices in, they would visit more frequently and stay longer buying coffees and foods.”
