“This was a fantastic surprise! We broke up a trip to Maine by overnighting at the Vermont House in Wilmington. The Alpenglow was new since we last stayed here through winter 2020. It helped to be walking distance when the cocktails are this good! Food was fantastic quality, accompanied by friendly efficient service. Creative decor and a great vibe. Schnitzel was top of our list but the Apple strudel was a children favourite. Well worth the visit!”

“Awesome food and great atmosphere. I don't usually post these types of things but I was so impressed I just had to. I have been to the lobster shack a handful of times now and I have a better experience everytime. It never disappoints. I usually get the lobster roll but have also tried the haddock, the clams, and the lobster Bisque. You can tell Joe puts his heart and soul into this restaurant and it shows in his food.”

“At a casual recommendation, for corned beef and cabbage. I stopped in for dinner and discovered a restaurant of great excitement. Started with chicken vegetable soup and then corned beef and cabbage with carrots and potatoes. The beef fell apart, tender and tasty. Wow, worth a revisit at anytime. The staff was very friendly.”

“I am really happy to report that Diana behind the bar is super attentive, friendly, and professional. She learned my drink preference the first time I was in, and now, I arrive at my seat and the drink it waiting. Not too shabby! Fries came out terrible one evening, she handled the feedback in a very professional manner; seriously impressed. Not a bad start for the new owners. I hope they iron out the kinks, dial things in, and begin to get to know the regulars. FIVE stars for Diana, 3.5 overall.”
