“Friends took me here for first time last night on Friday. I ordered prime rib...it was delicious. The other meals were enjoyed by my friends as well...shrimps and grits and the rib dinner. The place was very busy. The inside environment was absolutely beautiful and inviting. I will visit again when in the area definitely.”

“We enjoyed the food here but the staff and service was a little lacking. We planned well ahead of time that we would be having a dinner party of 13 for after our daughter's baptism and called for a reservation. While that day mentioned did in fact snow, the staff called to verify that we still intended to use the reservation in which we informed them we would be there. We showed up a few minutes early and hardly anyone was at the restaurant, it took the staff a good 15 minutes to set up for us. They took us to the upstairs dining where there was absolutely nobody dining at the time and set us at two separate tables of 6/7 people. "Why couldn't the tables be pushed together?", we asked? We were given some odd answers and finally on the 3rd time, the staff obliged and allowed us to push the tables together. Another thing is, I have never been to an Italian restaurant that did not provide bread before the meal. We were informed that we could buy bread but found this very odd. I am not sure whether they were operating at a limited capacity because the snow, but there were more than enough waiter's and cooks there to have 3 separate people helping us during our dinner. Overall, the food was pretty good and I would be interested in visiting the beautiful venue again. But the staff and service has me leaning towards Landini Brothers from now on.”

“Awesome Italian food. Awesome service. Nice atmosphere. Had veal scallopini, cooked to perfection. Service actually told us to take our time, no rushing us. Made for a lovely evening.”

“I had an excellent time here. The music was the best part of the bar. The bartenders play music through their phone and the sound system here is great. If you want a bar to chill and listen to great music this is your place. As far as food, I ate the meatball sliders and they were pretty good. I highly recommend Bugsy's for those who want deep pours on drinks, well priced food and a chill crowd. The price point at Bugsy's is better than most places in old town.”

“Stopped in for an early dinner, mid-week and the place was nearly empty. I thought it was a bad indication, but was glad to find that it was an excellent place. The service was fast, as a result. All of the food we ordered was very tasty. Plenty spicy but not ridiculously hot.”

“The food was EXCELLENT, I cannot stress this enough. And if you have someone in your party that doesn't care for seafood, no problem - they have other dishes that are so delicious and they don't have that underlying taste of seafood. The decor and atmosphere is just perfect. It feels like you're in a restaurant at the bottom of a beautiful boat. The lighting is dark, the woods are dark in color, and you just feel like you're out to dinner on a beach vacation.”

“Excellent staff, service and food. Had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and shrimp which was quite nice with a good flavor and the cilantro lime rice was excellent. My friends had the crab cakes and they come well recommended as well. All the desserts are well worth it as we tried most of them. Prices were thoroughly reasonable. Will definitely be back.”

“Excellent lunch buffet! Also, a great local restaurant that invests in their community - I very much appreciated their support as a furloughed federal employee. I recommend going not only because they are an awesome local business but also because the food is excellent!”

“My favorite sushi place in Old Town. The sushi is always fresh and the portions are generous. The rolls are innovative, I tried the Key West yesterday and absolutely loved it! Service is always very fast. The restaurant is casual and they have squeezed in as many tables as possible in order to serve as many customers as possible :)”

“The place has a very different ambience that makes you feel very lively while you're there. I'm really in love with this place. Not only the food makes you fall for this place , but also the amazingly helpful and polite staff does that.”

“We were met with excellent service by Richie. The menu was priced fairly and had a lot to offer. The restaurant was small but seemed perfect for the traffic flow. Most tables fit 2 people but there 4 bar seats as well. The food was very good! If you like supporting small businesses and are into diners, you need to check it out! We really enjoyed this neighborhood gem.”

“Wife and I went there while I was in area for business. Food was SPECTACULAR. Our waiter "Panda" let me try some local brews to find the one I wanted to drink for the evening. Beautiful decor and location. Highly recommend”

“Pleasant enough. Stopped for an afternoon drink in the bar. Got there 9 minutes before happy hour started and the barkeep wanted to know if we were willing to wait! I'm sure his tip would have been bigger if he just offered the happy hour price. Seemed kinda petty”

“Great concept, perfect execution. You can mix a pretty good salad for yourself. Interior is cool but the place is too small, heavily overcrowded. Only thing I didn't like is the drink selection.”

“I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is so amazing and the staff is very friendly. I love the laid back atmosphere, too. If you are looking for good Thai Cuisine in Old Town, Alexandria, you should visit Sam Phao. You will be happy you did! ????????????”

“I stopped by for a quick drink before dinner elsewhere, but the menu looked really good. I couldn't help but try the loaded fries and shrimp avocado toast. The fries won for overall flavor and filling power. The toast won for health conscious and lightness. The drinks I ordered were simple and stuff: vodka and club soda, and gin and club soda. Cozy place with a great menu I'd like to have more of.”

“Great restaurant with great service. Their menu changes daily so keep that in mind, you can view it on their website. We went during restaurant week and the food was excellent for their menu. Would highly recommend visiting there and will be going back ourselves.”

“If you like or want to try all kind of schnitzel and the food of German and Midle Europen style/go to Old House Cosmopolitan. The place is cozy, service is excellent and atmosphere is very welcoming and warm. It is a two level restaurant and they can easily accommodate larger groups and any kind of gathering; business, family, buffet. Do not forget desserts, and will be surprised with cakes and sweets. The favorite is European style pan cake. Highly recommend this restaurant.”

“Authentic, delicious, healthy, homemade, mom and pop feel, huge portions. I got the vegetarian platter (with 10 different items) with rice, all of it was delicious! I’m generally not a huge fan of baklava but this was amazing to share. If you Love ginger like I do, the ginger tea is therapeutic and made of fresh ginger and will help digest all that food! I still cannot believe I finished the entire plate of food. It was delicious!”

“The food is good but the prices are a little high. It's in refurbished old town Alexandria but it still has a hood/project feel. So. . . It's a weird vibe. I have no problems with those eviroments, I'm from that type of environment, but around million dollar homes???”

“We had a pizza here for lunch and it was fabulous. We ordered the large meat special pizza and it was more than enough to eat. A small pizza would have been plenty for a couple for lunch. I tend to over order and then make sure I eat it all if good. I did leave one piece. The service was very good and the price was great.”

“Pros: This place has boba tea while the other spots close to here don't. The food is good too. Cons: They have changed their menu provider so you can no longer order boba tea online, let alone anything else easily. Online ordering sucks now. I like my food to be ready when I arrive so this inconvenience will likely deter me from visiting here as frequently in the future.”

“Tried this place because another was closing too soon, so I wasn't quite dressed the part, I suppose. The people around me received chopsticks, we received forks; we were getting looks from other patrons. The waiter was nice enough, but we had a hard time understanding his accent over the hum of the dinner crowd. Mostly simple things, but notably when we asked for extra noodles (says $3 on the menu); I was saving my broth and garnish because I heard that they were coming out separately, but my girlfriend later told me that he said they were already in the bowl. I get the bill, and extra noodles weren't even on it, so they never put them in. No idea what happened there, but we were both disappointed throughout, and left hungry.”

“Stopped by to grab a burger today, and it was fantastic. Fewer topping options than Five Guys, but very tasty sauce, more meat, and in my opinion the bun was better. I'll be back”

“Friendly staff. Especially the old guy who's in there in the early hours when they're open. The $3 sausage and egg on white bread is delicious. They make it in a minute for you. Fried chicken top notch as well. You gotta roll through this place. The counter area is so narrow two people can pass each other, so theres entrances on both sides. This is clearly a neighborhood staple with everyday regulars.”
