“I was really excited to find out that a place opened up with pool tables in Ballston. We had a good time, grabbing some beer and playing some pool. The bartenders were very friendly. Their boneless buffalo wings were solid but their fried pickles were just okay, a little too crispy. The continental definitely has better fried pickles. We saw a fried chicken and waffle sandwich go by that looked delicious and will definitely have to try next time that we're there.”

“Super cute coffee shop. I loved everything here. Coffee, chocolate cake, the interior, service and price too! The coffee taste is different!!! Definitely will come back.”

“Was super excited to try this place as the ambiance looked amazing from the exterior. The staff were friendly, however, there were quite a few hiccups in getting the correct latte order and our server was unaware of how to enter our order in the computer. She also could not answer questions regarding menu items. Nonetheless, we stayed for their happy hour and I will say the food was a bit underwhelming and there were a lot of fruit flies. Seems as though breakfast would be a better choice for the time being until they're more established!”

“My family and I love this new place to dine and meet old and new friends! Their pizza reminds me of the NY-style I used to enjoy back home in New York; and their hot and cold sandwiches are all outstanding. The bar has a selection of local brews including Falls Church's Settle Down Easy Kolsch - one of my favorites. To complete the dining experience you MUST get their homemade ice cream-cookie dessert! Very friendly and attentive service staff. An easy ride in by Metro, and also plenty of secure parking shared with the VT Research Institute if you want to drive in. I look forward to the events and parties they will host in the future! I wish the owners and their team the best in this inaugural year for BL!”

“Try the “Spicy” chicken basil (it is not that spicy, I can’t handle real spicy), it is SO GOOD! Definitely coming back to this place. Prices are not bad at all either.”

“We live in a nearby apartment building, and this has become our go-to for quick dinners, breakfast sandwiches, and bubble tea. It’s also amazing for snacks/drinks/wine/champagne/beer - everything is always fully stocked. The store is incredibly clean, the prices are great, and they play awesome music. Cannot recommend enough!”

“This place rocks! Phenomenal beer list both foreign and domestic craft. Food is great and there are choices for everyone. Some times you get that worried feeling when a restaurant has a broad menu -- but that is not the case here. The kitchen has zero missteps and they are fast too. German food--check the box. Pretzel menu?!?! You read that right! Pizza-- delicious. Bar / after work snacks --plenty! Normally no reservations unless you have a big party but the staff was super accommodating when I asked to hold a table for a birthday party of 5. Dog friendly as well. Get your stomach & liver over here pronto!”

“I wanted to support one of my closest friends younger brothers so while in Arlington, VA I stopped in and purchased the Queen Mothers Classic chicken sandwich. However, I wasn’t expecting to experience the bold flavors Chef Rock has put together in this sandwich and let's not forget about the size. It is definitely shareable, but I am sure you will want your own once you take that first bite. Job well done .. I definitely can taste the Love in Chef Rocks food. Queen Mother, as my friend calls her mother deserves more than 5 💫⭐⭐🌟💫!!”

“For being brand new they knocked it out of the park from the start. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, great menu, and decently priced beer. They have an excellent sausage roll (sausage made in house!) not pictured because we ate it too fast, the fish and chips were amazing and battered to perfection, and the burger (topped with the egg) was also great! I will be more than happy to go back again.”

“Happened to walk in as we were in the area. The place has outdoor/indoor seating and is very cute. The food was good but it wasn’t anything extraordinary. The bartender was the most attentive staff, but our waitress lacked experience and took forever to get our appetizer out. Prices are fair, but I wouldn’t come back because nothing about it blew me away.”

“Standard pub fare in hotel bar/restaurant. Service was spot on and cleanliness was first priority. Beer selection was really good. Food was tasty and good portions. Very happy all around to have this restaurant within the hotel I'm staying at (Crowne Plaza - Crystal City).”

“My second time at this location under new management. The Maharani Veg Burger was so good the first time, and again the second time. It was well presented and delicious. Tables are socially distanced and staff appear to follow recommended Covid recommendations and are properly masked. Convenient location near the Metro, Excellent food, Friendly service!”

“So, I just recently attended a show here. Very thankful that we have places like this that are still able to provide entertainment during these times! However: 1) Our waiter was hardly accessible to us, which was frustrating considering we were told not to leave our table (due to covid restrictions) and had reserved a party of 12. 2) I was forced to confront the bar staff about a metal screw that was in our drink. It seemed like a nozzle that may have accidentally fell into it, which is understandable. However, our waiter thought that scolding me for leaving my seat as opposed to acknowledging this critical error was more important! They replaced the drink. But still! 3) I was then again forced to find our waiter! Who had spent most of his time in the corner behind the bar without a care in the world that we’ve been waiting on water and drinks for 30+ minutes! After hearing the frustration from our party I tried to fetch him one final time. 4) I approached the bar and before I can even speak he starts shining a flashlight in my face signaling security to kick me out. Not even allowing me speak. LUCKILY, the security heard me out, and the manager was called, where he spoke with me and assigned us two new waiters! 5) I walk outside to vape and relax after a frustrating encounter and I see the same waiter. Immediately talking trash to me before I even get the door open, telling me he doesn’t want to talk to me and to go on. For starters I came out here to VAPE, I wasn’t trying to see you bro. He then shelled out some threats which at that point nearly brought out the worst in me. With all that being said - I can not stress enough how awesome the manager was. He turned this experience into a positive one and even with all the negatives I’ve mentioned it would not keep me away from enjoying myself here again. We had a great night once everything got sorted out. Also, shout out to the security for not impulsively throwing me out. I talked to most of them by the end of the night and I know they’re just trying to do there job. They were all super cool. That waiter doesn’t seem to care much about his job though. I understand that navigating with these restrictions are difficult but the fact of the matter is he had no interest in serving us. His emotional response to all these situations I mentioned above surely solidifies my assumptions. Couldn’t give you guys anything less than 5 stars because after my encounter with the rest of the staff I highly doubt this character is a representation of this awesome spot! Plus, I’ve been here before without this issue! It’s an amazing venue and I highly recommend it!”

“Reserved a private celebration at the VIP rooftop at The Lot this past Saturday. The experience was outstanding. The owner Mike communicated easily via e-mail to organize before the night of our event, and when we arrived the staff was fantastic - accommodating and friendly. Also special shout-out to our waitress Cecilia, she was amazing. I will highly recommend this venue to others looking to have a more intimate experience, thanks again!”

“I had never been here before, though I read good things. I popped in for fresh pasta for dinner. I bought the gnocchi and rigatoni and asked if they had any fresh sauce to go with. I wound up with a quart of homemade marinara sauce. Everything was delicious. The sauce was spot on. The pasta was great. It made a quick dinner that was wonderful. I definitely recommend this small business and I will be back. I hope they always have that sauce and fresh pasta available to go.”

“Our office used Bootheel Catering to provide the food for our employee appreciation luncheon. The brisket was THE BEST brisket I've ever had. You rarely see chopped brisket, but on a bun, it's the best way to eat it. This was moist and tender with no fat and was absolutely amazing. His roasted corn/tomato side was KILLER. Will definitely find many reasons to use them again!”

“Can go there when I need a few items such as soda or bread or just some candy. A place you can grab a few things without needing to order food delivery from one of the major food stores. Fast service, friendly staff, and clean. The prices may be a tad higher than normal but you are paying for convenience. It is a convenience store after all. What else do you want? Addition - Ordered pickup from this 7-Eleven via Postmates. Pizza, Hot Dog, and some candy. The Pizza got here warm but the Hot Dog needed assembly. In hindsight the fewer people touching my food the better. Also the driver alerted me to the fact that the 7-Eleven had no ketchup, mustard, so on. But I had my own. Taking into account the snowstorm the driver got to me very fast. Of course I am very close to the location in question. The only reason I used deliver was because of the snow. Still a five out of five.”
