“I had my first Açaí bowl in Hawaii in 2008 and I’m so glad I can now have them in VA! I really loved their large tropical bowl - it had a base of pitaya, açaí and coconut. I got it topped with kiwi, pineapple, and bananas and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The staff were really friendly and personable and the decor was clean and bright. I appreciated their outside patio so my dog could come too. Overall, an awesome experience and a satisfying breakfast.”

“Fresh and tasty!! It’s so good! Everything was fresh, and I can’t believe the quality of food I get for less than $20. I’m not experienced with Indian food, so I literally asked the girl (so nice) behind the counter for what would taste good together and now this is one of my favorite places to eat in Chesapeake. I can’t wait to try more food off of the menu ❤️❤️❤️”

“Kicked off our tour of Chesapeake breweries here, and did we ever pick the right spot. Look, the beer is really good. The food is really good. But the staff and atmosphere make this place. An elephant could step on your toes and this place would still bring up your spirits. Plus, former Expos great Time Raines was my coaster ..... 7.7/10”

“"I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Indian restaurant HOCCO in Chesapeake Virginia and I must say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Now let's talk about the food. It was an absolute delight! Each dish was bursting with authentic Indian flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The menu offered a wide range of options, from classic favorites to unique specialties. Every dish was prepared with great care and attention to detail, resulting in a symphony of flavors that truly transported me to the streets of India. The speed of service was remarkable. Despite being a quick casual dining restaurant, the food was served promptly without compromising on quality. I was pleasantly surprised by how efficiently they managed to deliver such delicious food without any compromise on taste or presentation. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant fully satisfied. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food offered, making it an excellent value for money. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was vibrant and lively, creating a wonderful dining experience. The interior decor was tastefully done, incorporating elements of Indian culture without being overwhelming. Last but not least, the hygiene and cleanliness standards were impeccable. The restaurant maintained a high level of cleanliness throughout, including the dining area, restrooms, and kitchen. It was evident that they prioritize the well-being of their customers. In conclusion, this quick casual dining Indian restaurant exceeded all my expectations. From the warm hospitality to the mouthwatering food and excellent service, it's clear that they have mastered the art of providing an exceptional dining experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone craving delicious Indian cuisine in a casual and cozy setting. It truly deserves a perfect 10/10 rating!"”

“This place is an absolute gem. Great atmosphere. Nice ambiance. Perfect music selection. Outstanding service. The food was phenomenal. I ordered the shrimp and it was top notch. All the side items were great as well as the sweet potato muffin that accompanied the entree. I got the banana pudding for dessert and it was made fresh to order. I highly advise u try that. I will definitely be coming back to try their brunch over live music. Also, I had the chance to meet the owner. He was extremely nice, courteous, and personable … and best of all he is a Niners fan. HA!! 5 star experience for sure.”

“Drove by today and couldn't believe my eyes! It looked like they were open and the door was too so I went inside and saw the owner setting up. He was very friendly and said they are hiring and that they will be open in a couple weeks. Words cannot express how excited I am for this place to open! The atmosphere looked amazing! It's way bigger on the inside!”

“First time at Streetside pizza and hoagies. Wow what a wonderful experience. The food was fresh and hot and the service was fast. The atmosphere was very comfortable, a feeling of the neighborhood eatery. The owner and staff were so personable and showed great hospitality and service with a smile a conversation. Thank you for opening this awesome restaurant for a foodie like me. I will definitely be back.”

“Small dusty truck parking lot. About 15 trucks fit in here. I was able to get the last spot for right now. However, they also have a huge truck parking lot behind the building (not paved - very dusty). I appreciate a huge parking lot where a semi can actually maneuver around. I was great full for this place. This truck stop is definitely dated. That being said, all the staff I encountered in the store and in the restaurant were very nice. My hamburger steak with onions, green beans and pickled beets was delicious.”

“Stopped in to Irwin's Pharmacy for breakfast on a whim today for the first time, and what a hidden time capsule it was! Super friendly service, cute atmosphere, and pretty good food for decent prices. Their homemade lemonade is no joke, it made the best Arnold Palmer my husband and I have ever had. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five, was just because my husband ordered his steak medium and it was a bit rare instead, but not a deal breaker and we will definitely be back to try lunch!”

“Little Italy Pizza is a new pizzeria located in Mt Pleasant Market Place shopping center in Chesapeake. Connecting roads are Mt Pleasant Rd and Centerville Turnpike. The restaurant location is within the former Casa Di Costanzo Pizza where the owners recently retired. I had my first meal from here Sunday afternoon. We did a carry out order that included 2 large pepperoni pizzas with a salad and an order of garlic knots. We made the order over the phone via the slice app so all we needed to do was go pick it up. Upon pickup we watched them remove both pizzas from the oven, slice them and box them and we were on our way. Within a few moments the pies were home and plated. The warm fresh dough of the pizza had just enough flexibility to semi fold the slice so that the point kept it's shape. The sauce was perfectly between sweet and bitter without being acidic. The cheese blend was excellent and the pepperoni was plentiful. These pies had no chance in **** and were swiftly devoured as were the salad and garlic knots. Excellent meal. Fair price and even though they were fairly busy just before 5pm when we picked up the order, the staff was on the ball and working like a well oiled machine! An easy 5 stars.”

“My wife and I went here for dinner the other night. This location is much larger than the Norfolk restaurant. It is a beautiful restaurant. The wait staff is very attentive and the food is excellent. The food and drink menu has plenty of choices. I had the scallops with the risotto and it was phenomenal. My wife had the sausage and mushroom rigatoni and her food was great as well. I would highly recommend eating here.”

“First time eating here and will definitely come back when in the area. I got the tuna tacos which was very delicious and cooked exactly like asked. The craft beer was good too. My husband got the rebuen and he said it was one of the best he has had. For an appetizer we got the shrimp and crab dip with chips and definitely will get it again....good price with lots whole shrimp and lots of crab meat.”

“Unexpectedly stopped in on a Saturday night. This is a friendly and quaint family style Mexican restaurant. They serve complimentary nachos and salsa. Nachos were nice, the salsa was OK. The food was fresh and to temp when served. I noticed alot of pick up and take out as I dined inside. We had an order for a margarita when we first sat down, but didn't make it to our table until half way thru our entree. That's a huge miss, but it was delicious. Prices are reasonable. Not a romantic option, but great for a group of friends or family.”

“New owners. Came in today and got lunch to go. The new owner and chef were super friendly. And the place was clean and inviting. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai and they gave me a Thai tea for free as I waited. The food was made to order very quickly and was really good. The spice level was on point. I ate the whole thing! Will be going back again soon”
