“I moved to Virginia from South Carolina. Zaxby’s is everywhere down there. I grew up eating it. I remember once a new Zaxby’s opened up in a nearby town and was closer than our go to restaurant. That place was a mad house for months!! The Zaxby’s on Walmart Way is a Godsend...and it’s less than a mile from my house! We were here the first night they opened and the service was spectacular, the food was delicious and it looked like it was running flawlessly. We’ve been three times since then. Which is only 10 days. ???? Each trip the better than the last. Kudos to the manager, and the entire team! Especially the guy frying my chicken. ???? See you next week!”

“OMG!! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!! Today was my first time in the bakery and I was HIGHLY IMPRESSED. The location is nestled in a cozy strip mall w rocking chairs inside while you wait. The family oriented atmosphere is very welcoming. Very clean and just an awesome place to wait for your white cake box to come from the back area. My mother and myself purchased 3 cakes on that visit. The Pecan, 5 flavors and the Lemon pound cake. We were highly satisfied with all 3. The owners also were serving pulled pork sandwiches, mac n cheese, coleslaw etc. We will definitely be back to support this establishment. Just take my wallet and give me my cakes!!”

“We’ve visited quite a few times and it’s been hit and miss. The bar is nice with a good beer selection. The grilled chicken sandwich, Rueben, Sailor, Danny Boy and a pastrami with Swiss have been excellent. The Club sandwich is the best I’ve ever had. Crab cakes, not so good. Too much filling not enough crab. Our most recent visit was the most disappointing. Two of us ordered the prime rib which was flavorless and did not appear to be fresh cut. The baked potatoes were old, stale and small. The salad was fresh. Service has been good and the staff as well. We’ll continue to visit and try other things on the menu but we are quickly learning what and what not to order.”

“This review is based on the Midlothian location. Hull St location is NOT yet open. Service was quick, employees had gloves and masks, place was clean, the only thing I would suggest is for the employees not to unwrap drinking straws for the clients, I actually ended up throwing mine away and switching the drink into my own cup. This is especially important during COVID-19 season when people are being more meticulous than ever about these kind of things . The home made chips were on point, hot and fresh! Burger was nice and juicy although towards my last bite I did find a small portion of what seemed to be a small charred piece of meat. I was a little bummed about that, but other than that, it was a good meal. They also have 15% off your first order, not sure how long that goes for, but the extra discount is always nice.”

But I must caution all drivers going into this parking lot.... there seems to be a lot of folks who think it's okay to text while driving so be careful to keep an eye out because you never know who's riding around the lot or pulling in or out of a parking spot distracted by their phone!! “I'm giving 3 starts because I'm in the middle on my first visit. The staff was very good, not like the reviews I've been seeing. I was told this place usually is a long wait for something most consider a simple meal but I actually didn't wait very long at all and the staff was trying to deal with an Uber driver grabbing the wrong food so I feel they did well with everything going on. The prices do seem a little high but I'm curious to try more things from the menu so I will be back. I really enjoyed the sweet potato fries.”

“I came in today for lunch not knowing what to expect being that my last visit wasn't that great. Things seemed a little busy, after ordering I realized there was basically 1 server working and a girl training. However I must say even with the shortness of staff Liz was very pleasant and punctual. The food was great, better then I remember from my last visit. I'm glad I finally gave Denny's another try. Thumbs up to this young lady for being so over worked. I will definitely visit again.”

“Had a wonderful first meal at the new First Watch on Hull Street recently. Despite the long wait (because their popularity makes for a long wait sometimes), it is well worth it and the range of options are great to appease a wide audience. The decor and atmosphere is nice and upscale feeling. Our server, Lydia, was awesome as well. Only suggestion: would like some sound-dampening installed throughout because the 'open concept' can get quite loud! Love it and highly recommend. Decent prices and a great breakfast and brunch/lunch choice. When they first opened they had some kinks to work out, but I think it's pretty smooth running now. The staff are friendly and food is always good. Go check them out. They had a lot to live up to with the Egg & I being there before them... I think they did a great job.”
