“This was a takeout order of a pound of pulled pork and a quart of coleslaw. I'm not local, and this was recommended by my aunt and uncle that live here. I must mention that I'm originally from Memphis, TN, home of planet Earth's best barbecue. Having eaten barbecue on three continents, I stand by that statement. That being said, Mission BBQ is very good. This batch we had was a little on the salty side, but had the soft density and smoky char necessary to qualify as good barbecue. The accompanying sauce was tangy and sweet, and was pleasantly thick. The coleslaw had a great creamy, crunchy texture. It was perfectly seasoned and featured a blend of cabbage, carrots, and purple lettuce. It was an excellent complement to the barbecue. The staff was friendly and they got our walk in order ready quickly. They have Pepsi products, and a military ambiance that demonstrates pride in the ethics of the armed forces. Mission BBQ is a great place to satisfy your craving.”

“Tried the mall location for a quick bite and brew. The grilled cheese (bistro, I think) was really good. Nice bacon, cheese, and the sourdough was perfectly grilled. It was a bit of a wait, but watching people as a pass time helps bide time. All in all, great little spot to grab a bite.”

“We were recommended this place for lunch while we were in town visiting a supplier. They highly recommended this above many others we were looking at. We were not disappointed in the food or the service. The service was friendly, helpful and quick. I had the Chicken Philly and it was tremendous. I opted to upgrade from the chips that come with the sandwich to french fries. They were super hot, so much that I had to eat some of my sandwich first, love that.”

“For the age of the establishment, 5 stars, but some opportunities for improvement. We went on a Wednesday afternoon, 5 adults had a selection of cocktails and food items. Drinks were 5/5, food 4/5, view was off the charts. Menu items could do with a little more finessing, but strong flavors represent well overall. Prices are high, but think of it as paying for the view. I believe there were 7 beers on tap. I'd like to see more given the excellent local brewing scene and the fact that it would make spending more time here that much easier. Server was very good if perhaps inexperienced for the price point (plates cleared off the table when some people are still eating). If I'm paying semi-fine dining prices I'd like just a little more etiquette from the wait-staff. Drinks came immediately with three bartenders at hand (loved that), but some food came out extremely (almost too) quickly, and then some came out 5 minutes later. Only one plate per person, so opportunity to improve here. All in all I look forward to going back and seeing the place (and hopefully menu) grow.”
