“We pulled off for a quick lunch at Carmelita’s on our road trip to Lewes Delaware. What a quaint surprise on this quiet beach peninsula. We ordered the carnitas tacos and carne asada relleno! The ingredients were very fresh, flavorful and authentic. The hot sauce was spicy and house made! We sat under the little umbrella and were grateful to find this little gem run by several women!”

“Decided to check out this place on our last day here in Cape Charles. Location is great especially if you are sitting outside. Water views and it is close to the beach. Service was good but unfortunately we waited over 45 minutes to get our food. There were 2 other tables that sat down after us and got their food much quicker. Food was great. Tried their croissant egg sandwich, breakfast bowl, and crepes. Very tasty. I had to knock down a star because of the wait time and other tables getting their food faster than us.”

“I eat lunch at the Eastville Inn about once a month and we had our company Christmas party there last Christmas. I had the pleasure of arranging the event with Chef Schmidt who made so many fine dishes available as appetizers and, oh, the dinner. We all ordered off the menu, and everyone was very pleased. The food is like eating at your amazing gourmet cook friend's house. There is a mascarpone polenta dish with garlic, spinach, tomatoes that is worth the trip every time (it can be a side dish or a meal). The soups are always unusual and incredible; steaks are perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly and perfectly to order. The menu has a lot of fresh vegetables and salads and if I lived just a little closer, I'm sure I would eat there every day. Because it is planted in a rural area, be sure to call to make sure they are open for when you'd like to go, especially in the winter. It's worth planning around.”

“I have been to Exmore, VA a lot of times since May 2020, traveling from Washington DC and always looked for good food, between dinners and sea food places, never was a 100 % satisfied. Recently I've noticed a new dinner " Harvest Dinner" on Lankford Hwy. I ordered a house salad with grilled chicken, broccoli bites, a chicken melt and a burger, all my main dishes came with a cup of soup.. The food is the bomb. ALL freshly made, the salad was huge and so delights. I had to come back the next day to pick some more items of the enormous menu. Its totally reasonable pricing and excellent fresh food. On top my waitress/cashier Hasibe was super nice and welcomed me to the new place super friendly. I am impressed. I had to leave this comment, cause excellent service is hard to find. I hope I could make my waitress smile with the tip I left for both days even though I came for pick up. Truly a place to go with your family. BON APETIT!!!! YUMMY”

“Tried the 50 cent chicken wings on Thursday and they were real good. We also tried the key lime pie and brownie. Tasty but not worth the $6.50 price for each. The staff was very friendly and the view was very nice. Nothing like relaxing and watching the Chesapeake bay!!”
