Beyond Vegan Cell Food

First let me begin by saying, I am far from Vegan but I have been making a conscious decision to eat healthier. So, I spotted this Vegan spot in Downtown Portsmouth. I walked in and it was pretty empty (6p on a Tues.). The young man wasn't very versed on the menu items but he was very helpful when it came down to his personal choices. He was also willing to get the answer to my questions from the kitchen staff. I ended up with the Vegan Gumbo and let me tell you that IT WAS AMAZING. A little small portion that I was expecting for $6 but ultimately it was filling. The flavor was explosive and very spicy. Thankfully I was given some banana chips to cool my palate. I will definitely return and perhaps try another savory dish!

The food was Amazing! I had the Vegan chicken and Waffles, Vegan gumbo, and burro fries. The portions were huge too. I split the sandwich with my daughter. Customer service was very good and the prices were very reasonable! I highly recommend them!

Finally! I'm so happy to have found an awesome vegan restaurant in my area. I was pleasantly surprised by how low the costs are for the amount of food you get. Awesome prices and awesome food. Thanks y'all!

Some gluten free options, not all are marked on the menu so you may have to ask the server. Amazing vegan and gluten free chicken that is creatively made, using garbanzo beans (chickpea) flour. Banana fries were so-so, and they don't have an alternative such as sweet potato or plantain fries.

Service was good, and the washroom is super nice.

My wife and had lunch here for the first time. The vegan gumbo was amazing! The chicken and waffle was very good. I am partial to a sweeter syrup. The batter could use more seasoning. The garbanzo beans omelette was very tasty as well. I can't wait to return to try some other menu items however I will have the gumbo again.
