“We have lived in Haymarket for a while and have heard great things about Evergreen Deli. People swear by it and we were hoping it would be that ”hole in the wall” place that we would fall in love with. We got a few Subs and some mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were pretty good. They offer S, M, and L sizes which is pretty cool. They were fried to perfection and the cheese was gooey. Only complaint is that the marinara is served cold and we got one small container for a medium order which was not nearly enough. The subs were okay. The bread was average and the meats were adequate. We got a Godfather which had plenty of meat. The steak and cheese was good but over-seasoned with pepper. The store itself was neat. It is an old country store with random stuff. I am sure we will be back at some point. Just not a place that we would go out of the way for.”

Also, be sure to take Tylenol with you on the busy nights or whenever they have belly dancers. “One of the coolest brunch buffets I have ever seen. They have everything on the buffet. I am not a fan of buffets, was not aware on Sundays this was the norm. I ordered off the normal menu which was smaller than usual. All was still great. If I read the menu correctly, the brunch buffet was $29, a little pricey for my taste for breakfast, however; again, it was an impressive buffet. Love the $5 Bloody Marys and Mimosas. Bloody Mary's have a bar as well. Great mix, tons of options. Will definitely be back and may try the bar one day. Service was great, lots of smiles.”

We did not call to complain because it was not a big deal instead when we got home we found a message from PB taking responsibility for not adding pickles, peppers and extras to our order. They offered to drop it off at our house. They also credited our bill a small percentage. I did not expect this and they really did not have to. It was a very minor thing. I spoke with someone the next day to thank them for their concern. They went out of their way to make it right. They know how to treat their customers. Quality management!”
