“Very cool coffee shop. I'm gluten, dairy and soy free and I'm not a coffee drinker. They have a lot of vegan items, but those usually contain soy. My wife had the blueberry scone and described it as very good and the coffee was very good(she's a coffee snob). If you're in need of a coat, you can take one from the rack at front. If you donate your clean/laundered coat, you get 10% off your meal”

“This place is rad and has a bunch of really cool baristas who are always ready to rock and know my order! They work hard and have even taken measures against local social issues like ensuring there are safe containers in the bathrooms for unfortunate choices others make turn to, providing space for people still doing WFH but struggling with wifi costs, and just make everything genuinely welcoming while clearly having a good time. The only bad part has nothing to do with the store or employees but rather some of their more entitled customers who like to just cause a ruckus. This is a direct call out to: the guy who is complaining about the lids and his inability to sip out of a cup without spilling on himself that gave a one star for this store as if this isnt a giant chain - that day where you came in yelling at the baristas was SO uncalled for. Maybe consider contacting corporate directly instead of aggressively harassing hourly employees about paying for your shirt my dude, the rest of us wanted to just have our coffee in the cafe in peace and the only issue here was your struggle to to sip out of the (double cupped) cup and not spill the drink on yourself. ✌️”

“Great vegetarian options, definitely one of my favorite cafés in Richmond. I love the Veggie Panini, the Hummus sandwich, and the Funny Honey is super tasty as well. Food usually takes about 20 mins, even longer on a busy day, so be prepared to wait or order ahead. The staff is nice & the coffee’s good, only thing that’s lacking is the ambiance in the cafe- definitely not my favorite place to sit and work all day, but the outdoor spaces in front and back are great on a nice day and the food always delivers. see u soon lift!”

“Food: very good, an option to warm up would be nice. Coffee: standard fare, we didn't try any special flavors... we like our coffee how your mom likes REDACTED...black. Price: for 2 muffins, 1 pastry and two small coffees, the price with tip and taxes was about $22. Overall: recommend as a once in a while treat!”

“Highly rated local market with local meat and produce, organic food, and bulk items. The juice bar does a steady business and the locals pick up prepared food here to dine at one of the tables in front. Live music is offered on a regular basis. Supports many worthwhile community events. Prices often a little higher than the big markets, but not glaringly so.”

“Their pasties are fresh made daily and so good. They always have vegan/gluten free options, too, like the vegan olive oil cake. It's so delicious! They adapted quick and well to the demands of the pandemic. Though we're no longer allowed inside, it's kind of a blessing because their pastry case is in the front window now and much easier to peruse. No more squished feeling and trying to navigate a small crowded space.”

“First experience today and it was great! Only had the drip but was impressed. They have a great outdoor patio on top of indoor seating. Design and decoration was very well done. Looking forward to trying more items there.”

“Very nice family restaurant. The service was a bit slow, but they were getting a lot of GrubHub orders, so I can't fault them. It's a pleasant little breakfast place and well worth a stop if you're in the area. The food came out hot and delicious and the prices are the lowest I've seen in Richmond. The server was very kind and attentive when he wasn't busy with the delivery drivers.”

“Absolutely above and beyond service. They forgot to record my drink order initially and then went out of their way to correct their mistake making a free drink and offering us a punch card for a free drink in the future. Staff is friendly and accommodating for all types of diets and dietary restrictions. Gotta try the beef hash!! 😋”

“Absolutely great hard Cider! Small batch at that. Locally grown apples. The Unicorn Fuel is great, I highly recommend it! If you like bourbon, the Dark Unicorn Fuel is aged in bourbon barrels. Also very good, not to mention all the other small brewed batches!!”

“I have never in my life been so wowed. Impeccable. Never been done before. Amazing. I’m writing home about it. It was the ranch dressing. Try it. I don’t care what else you try just make sure you try the ranch. I don’t even like ranch that much honestly but it was so good.”

“Super friendly, nice amount of parking, and a great downtown vibe. I love that it has the large open table--Even when it does not generate conversation with strangers, it still has a more collegial atmosphere. Also, we had a mistake with our order, on our end, and they were very gracious and helping us work through it. Highly recommend. Just wish they had enough room for a drive-thru!”
