“Shenan and Chris and their brother and sister prep/hostess staff are a great team. The food is always delicious and fresh. Plenty of outside seating in a socially distance arrangement. They do great dessert catering also with waffles. I used them personally at my home and it was so much fun. For an afternoon event they prepared pancake tacos with all kinds of toppings, like chicken and beef and so forth. During and evening event they created the desert station with cake, and regular waffles with many delicious toppings. Whip cream is always fresh. Today I stopped by for a ham and cheddar cheese grilled sandwich.”

“The dogs are delicious! The poppyseed bun and spicy mustard were a perfect wrap. The vanilla ice cream was very tasty. The burger was ultra flat and dry with a smattering of mushrooms. The bun was good, but didn’t make up for the meat. Will try it again, but for the price we all anticipated a thick and juicy burger. I am not a fan of the way they prepare the sauerkraut which is limp and dark from being cooked, but evidently it was the preference of many. The coleslaw is very finely minced and better than most as it is not overly sweet. The fries are very thick hand cut, so I prefer the slaw. Ample servings of both slaw and fries. A good place for the whole family.”

“An update to my previous review. The food seems a bit salty now. It’s to much for me, But I’m sure the chef would alter that if I asked. Another thing I really like about this place is the respect between the waitstaff and the kitchen staff. I love the fact that the owner if the wait staff isn’t right at the door will say “welcome” from the kitchen. It’s all very friendly and very respectful. The food is delicious being prepared right on the spot. The biodegradable boxes really mean a lot to me. If a person cares enough about the environment to provide a biodegradable box he certainly must care enough about his food to give you the very best. The loaded nachos are delicious and I love the tacos. Everything we’ve had so far was really tasty. The owner and his family are very nice. His staff is very friendly and helpful. I’m so glad this is close by so I can eat there often.”

“Very nice people, pizza is very good but they have no clue how to make an Italian sub. Not much more than a hotdog bun with two types of wonder meat, one deep burgundy and the other a chewed up white blob, two small pieces of white cheese , a couple small pieces of lettuce and tomato and a little mayo. This thing tasted as bad as it looked . One bite and into the trash it went. My wife did the same with hers. The pizza alone deserves the four stars.”

“We just stopped in on the way home from vacation in Luray on the Shannadoah River and the perfect wonderful Skyline Drive. The owner, Ciro, was there and actually came to our table to talk. He is a great host and his Family works there as well. He is an Italian American, he and I discussed Napoli, where I was stationed numerous times over my years in the Navy. He was raised till the age of 18 there before coming to Brooklyn, NY. What can I say, GO THERE!”

I always kind of hope they'll either work a little harder or knock a buck or two off when a customer has to resort to their third choice of menu items, but not this night. The food was fine. “I stopped at an Arbys specifically while traveling as I wanted to try the Market Fresh Turkey Sandwich. I had heard the Turkey is great at Arbys. The Turkey is great, but the bread while it also was good had very dry crust. Also there was Bermuda onion, and mustard on the sandwich, I wasnt expecting that. The staff was friendly and efficient.”

“If you take anything away from any of these reviews let it be this: Eat here! We were traveling and staying at the hotel next door and stopped in for a bite. After today's visit we will be making a habit out of staying here just so we can eat at Castiglia's. As soon as you walk in you're struck with the decor that makes you feel like you're sitting outside a cafe in Italy. The waits staff was abundantly pleasant and helpful. The menu has more than enough options to please anyone in your party. We had two appetizers and a pizza and all of the food was fantastic, the pizza especially. We saw some of the other dishes being taken to other tables and not only did it look delicious but there was more than enough food to feed the biggest of eaters. I look forward to eating here again and I hope you, dear reader, has as enjoyable of an experience as we had.”
