“Stopped by the Grand Opening of Royal Farms convenience store in Abingdon, VA. Fresh fried chicken and potato wedges, and tons of sides. The chicken was very tasty and the wedges were wonderful none of the super big wedges that aren’t done all were evenly sliced and done. Plenty of gas pumps and several electric charging stations. Fast, friendly and efficient service. I would recommend stopping by and checking them out.”

“The pizza has a great crust and nice quality toppings. The garlic knots with cheese are great, knots without cheese are also good! They have fresh mushrooms, not canned and serve their marinara sauce warm instead of cold! Only bottled sodas, no fountain drinks. The staff is extremely friendly! After two visits during opening weekend, PizzaLand has definitely earned a spot in our regular restaurant rotation.”

“I had mixed reservations about this place based on comments from others. I figured we had to check it out for ourselves. We were greeted at the door by the beautiful smile from Teresa who quickly seated us. Then we were greeted by our waitress Betsy. Now mind you, I had gastric bypass 3 years ago , so there is not much I can eat so, I didnt want to order from the buffet. Betsy insured me that due to my gastric bypass, that I would not have to pay full price and I should never have to. She was completely understanding and even congratulated me on my accomplishment of losing 200lbs. Overall, my husband and I were pleasantly pleased with the service, food and atmosphere of Fiddlers. We will definitely be coming back!!!”

“This is a really cool little restaurant. We were passing thru on i81 and I’m glad we stopped here. Amazing burger. Great service and I love the atmosphere. You may have to wait a little but as the restaurant is very small but trust me. It is well worth the wait. The wait staff here is super friendly as well. Five stars.”

“Probably the best plated desserts that I have EVER had. Usually, food that looks this pretty is all style over substance, but not in this case. The mirror glazed mini pumpkin tarts with pecan pie centers, topped with a white chocolate covered cheesecake “pumpkin” were OUTSTANDING. My son got the chocolate mousse, took one bite, and said, “This is literally the best dessert I’ve ever had.” Go here. Order all of the things. Then be sure to walk around for a bit lest you lapse into a food coma. ”

Located in the abingdon shopping center beside Kroger, they offer many authentic Mexican dishes and desserts. After eating here I have to place it in my top 2 Mexican restaurants in the area. “The signs not wrong, they have real good food. They do have a pretty limited menu plus their daily specials, but what they have is very tasty and worth a visit. We have been here many times and tried most of the regular items on the menu. The burgers are always a good option, but so is the chicken salad, the Cuban and the deserts (if you have room).”

“What a great break from road-trip food! Eclectic menu, all prepared fresh from scratch, in a friendly diner setting. We chose falafel and salad: both available gluten-free & vegan, and delicious. Other offerings ranged from mac-n-cheese balls to frog’s legs. There was a steady flow of local customers; I see why! My only wish was for some hummus (they did offer tzatziki).”

“We came late at night looking for bottled water. The place is clean. The woman we met was super friendly and helpful. Showed us right where to find the water. It's a large store, really well appointed, open 24 hours. What a relief after the nightmare at the Exxon down the street!! “There is a wizard working in this kitchen. Every bite of our meal was amazing from beginning to end. I had "the magicians nephew" cocktail. Wonderful taste and the creative presentation is where the bartender shines! I followed that up with the filet mignon and my daughter had the spaghetti. I prefer my steak medium well and it was cooked to perfection. Easily the most tender, flavorful steak I have ever eaten. The spaghetti was also so so good. After dinner we tried the French vanilla Gelato and we weren't disappointed there either. The vanilla flavor was so rich and wonderful. Then you have to head over and take some pictures in the lounge. The decor is so much fun!”
