One of my favorite Mexican places in the US. If you think all Mexican food is the same, you would be greatly mistaken. Any time I am in Seattle, I make an effort to visit this place for a taste of Oaxaca. Delicious sauces and authentic fare, it never misses.
Love taking out-of-towners to this place. Not the cheap and greasy stuff you get at a lot of Mexican restaurants. Portions are on the smaller side but most dishes are less than $15. Only takes reservations for groups of 10 or more. Drinks are strong and service was great.
Pretty good food! Dishes were well designed, everyone at our table got a different thing and they were all distinct and decent tasting.
The restaurant does not have a very good layout. If you come and it's even a little crowded, (we were seated immediately) don't even think about being able to get out of your seat or get over to the salsa bar (salsas were good too) or if you do, expect an awkward four way stop of servers, customers coming back from the bathroom and fellow salsa fans.
Chairs are back to back with each other, there's less than a foot of clearance anywhere. Probably won't come back for that reason. If you like decent food and don't mind a crowded room, check this place out.
If you’re looking for authentic Oaxacan cuisine, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed! Thank you so much to the staff for fitting our party of five in on such a busy night!
Not impressed. Food is fine, but nothing special. One of our friends loves the margaritas here, but the other two of us both agree they are the worst ones we've ever had - like watery tequila as another reviewer wrote. With all the amazing food options in Seattle, I'd suggest skipping this place. I didn't try the mole though (since I don't eat meat).
