“I'm probably not the target demographic for this restaurant (health nut yuppie with no kids) but I absolutely adore this place. It's unpretentious, so cozy, and serves food that is honest and carefully prepared. The menu is mostly pizzas, sandwiches, and pastas, and after a rough week they're my go-to for spaghetti with meatballs or a pepperoni pizza. Their Thai-style spaghetti, something I would normally never consider ordering at any other restaurant, is spicy (genuinely spicy!), complex, and satisfying. Sometimes it's not the speediest, but you're on Vashon, so how big of a rush could you possibly be in? It's full of nice people and good food, so take a breath, Slim. I recommend the table next to the fireplace, any of their pizzas, and a slice of chocolate cake.”

The food was delicious, the staff were very welcoming and understanding when some of our party had food allergies and such and tried to accommodate us as best as possible. The seating was comfortable. The only thing I could complain about if I was seated towards the door. Since It was extremely cold out the day I went and there was no real barrier other then some curtains to block the cold to those next to the door. I know it's not an easy fix. But definitely should probably have a more permanent fix in the future.”

“Yes, we have other pizza joints on the island. And yes, I even like some of them. But when I really want pizza, especially NY style, THIS is where I go. Pizza by the slice, or order a whole pie (though expect to wait about 30-45 minutes for your order to be ready — call ahead if you know you’re going to be hungry!)... a multitude of topping options, from spicy pepperoni to artichokes to anchovies. Grab a coffee next door at Pollard, or from the awesome “dive” bar in the way back, and you’ve got one heck of a tasty meal!”

“Wow. We stopped in for a beer and a bite to eat and all the beer looked so good that we ordered a flight of seven. Every. Single. Beer. Tasted. Great. I'm seriously impressed because we have not had this experience at every brewery we've been to ???? We came hungry and we had to order quite a bit of food to fill our tummies. The food was good but definitely come for the beer first and the food second. The place was quiet when we first arrived but the bartender was chatty and made us feel welcome. Soon enough others started coming in to have these delicious brews too.”

“Solid food, at a reasonable price. Famous for her tamales, Patty also does a fabulous plate of Korean ribs, wonderful crepes, and the eggs are cooked just right. The interior is quirky, but locals have discovered the place and embraced it. Beware that breakfast ends at 11, the menu isn't huge, but the heart is, and the food is what you came for. Patty is employing local young folks who are learning the restaurant trade -- everything says to me, this is a place worth frequenting... often.”

“This is a pretty great pastry shop to visit if you are ever on Vashon Island. We came across this place and couldn't decide between this or Vashon Island Baking Co. We settled on this place due to the vegetarian options. The parking is small, so you'll have to park on the street when it gets super busy. I was a bit disappointed because someone dinged our car in the parking lot, even though we were parked properly. It's a fairly large place with lots of seating. A lot of natural lighting in the front of the establishment, but the back is pretty dark. You enter and you're overwhelmed by the amount of baked goods located on the left side. They are humongous and one blueberry muffin could probably feed a team of cheerleaders.... The pastries are dense, not extremely heavy and rich. The blueberry muffin, cinnamon roll and raspberry rustic scones were simply amazing. They were too much to consume so we ended up having to take them home. I wish I would've ordered the baked breads to go. The staff here is extremely friend and service is fast.”
