“Had a lovely meal at Green Pot Deli. As tourists on Bainbridge Island on a Monday it was one of the few businesses open! We were so happy to find it and enjoyed a delicious and reasonably priced lunch including banh mi and the pork rice bowl. The staff were very kind and friendly. It's a block or two off the main drag but it is definitely a visit! Highly recommend!”

“Decently sized portions and fresh ahi and salmon. Many yummy ingredients (eggs, seaweed, pickled cucumber, fish roe, crab meat) in addition to just the poke in each bowl. Poke is nicely marinated -- the right level of saltiness and not overpowering. Order at the counter and they deliver to the table or call you to take to go. Quick and friendly service. Beautiful and scenic seating right next to the ferry. Great for a quick, filling bite before or after riding the ferry!”

“This Starbucks location is by far my favorite one to visit. I’m a regular here! The staff are the friendliest group I have ever encountered at any Starbucks. They always greet everyone that enters with a cheery hello and ask about your day. There have legit been times I was having a bad day but after going in to get my usual drink and being greeted by everyone, I felt instantly better. The baristas are also very good at making drinks. I always get the same drink whenever I go to any other Starbucks and it always tastes different depending on where I go. However I can always count on my drink being made perfectly and consistently at this location! The place is kept very clean and everyone does their part in wearing masks and maintaining social distancing during this pandemic. Ps. My usual drink is an iced chai with sweet cream vanilla cold foam on top. It’s amazinggg! Recently I tried it with the pumpkin cream cold foam on top. Also good (but much sweeter)! Love this place!”

The location is quite out of the way, the atmosphere and seating are cheap and cheerful (basically some indoor picnic tables), the prices on the high side... but the food is very, very good. “There is a certain amount of comfort I find when I travel. Comfort in familiarity. I remember being in Roma/Rome and seeing a McDonald's near the Spanish steps. I had been in Europe for about six months so I was homesick. McDonald's was there to produce the same food in the same atmosphere. This McDonald's is just one light away from the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal, which is really nice. It's close to all the shops in the artsy area by the Museum. It's right next to a hardware store. If you haven't tried to get off the ferry and drive off the island yet, you may want to stop for some McDonald's, the traffic is insane. Luckily the island is beautiful.”

“Bene is definitely one of the great hidden restaurants that Bainbridge has to offer. The pizza is great artisan, wood oven pizza. The atmosphere is very aesthetic. You can sit inside watching your pizza be made, or sit outside, in a small garden. It is located in downtown Winslow, tucked behind all of the major chain restaurants, in its own little space. Despite the size of Bene, it is a great place to eat!”

“Four months ago I went to urgent care for a panic attack and the doctor recommended (among other things) that I start yoga and meditating. I have struggled with anxiety for years and have tried a few yoga classes here and there and never liked it. Nevertheless I ended up at Dayaalu Center the next day. I choose Dayaalu because of its convenient location in Winslow. I came for symptom relief and found that and so much more. The space is beautiful, the food at the cafe is delicious, the diversity of class offerings guarantees a place for people of all abilities. But most important to me are the people, the real community I have found there. The staff, teachers and fellow students are kind and compassionate, truly dedicated to making positive change in the world.”

“Great movie theater with kind employees. I come here very often to watch movies. Food is a bit overpriced but still great. There are many theater rooms within the theater so they have a wide variety of movies playing around the same times. The atmosphere is great being inside the pavilion. The theaters themselves have always been clean and comfy. If you are looking for some alternatives from their snacks I would recommend bringing some, otherwise great theater!”
