“This place may not look like much but what they lack outside they make up for inside. The food was made fresh right in front of me, and tasted amazing. The service was fast and excellent and I will definitely be back.”

“Food here is very delicious. It had the best North Indian curries I have had on the west coast! The staff is very friendly and the place has a pleasant ambience. It's also reasonably priced for an Indian restaurant”

“I was looking for a tex-mex spot and glad I tried Taco Del Mar. I had vegetarian nachos and they were delicious, made to order. I like that they ask if you want shredded or nacho cheese because I very much prefer shredded. It was easy to get in and out at lunchtime and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend and will visit again.”

“Did not catch her name but the girl behind the counter was very friendly! Tons of different choices for ice cream flavors & loved that the first topping was free. Portions were nice for the price paid and hot dogs were definitely delicious. Can't wait to go back and try new flavor combos!”

“This place is a solid 3.5 to 4 stars for sure. We've been wanting to try the place for a while now, and finally got a chance to go when a friend visited us from out of town. The bread they bring out before the meal is nice and warm and very good. All of the food we ordered was delicious, however, presentation is a bit lacking. My son got the fish and chips which came with cole slaw, but it looked more like a dry chopped up head of cabbage. My lady ordered the crab cakes and she said they were soggy, stringy and needed more sauce. I ordered mussels and while fresh and delicious, they were a bit cold for some odd reason. The view is amazing and we got a table right by the window to watch the ferry come and go. The service was pretty good, though they could have come around more often to check in and fill our waters. You can tell the ingredients here are all fresh, so you'll be sure to get some good flavors out of whatever dish you order, just don't expect it to look or be expertly prepared. We're now fans of this place, and will go back if it's convenient and we don't mind spending a little more than usual to eat here. It's pretty dang expensive.”

“Service was very good. Food was good and the place is family friendly which was nice since my four year old granddaughter was with us. I had the fish tacos which were quite good. Grilled cod which I appreciate over the deep fried fish that so many places seem to do in their tacos these days. Fish was cooked well (appropriately) and the fries were good and hot. A bit on the salty side but good. I asked for a side of avocado so that I could add some to my tacos. It was about 50% grey when served. Was okay just not appetizing in appearance. That my only knock. Overall we will go back. Place is a bit off the beaten path but not too difficult to find.”

“Two entrees and one Thai iced tea, we spent a little over $40. This is a boutique Thai restaurant - small, upscale, and highly curated. I wasn’t allowed to modify how spicy my Khao Soi would be (you can pick for some other menu items). The food, service, decor is all excellent, there’s no arguing that. For me, this place is a once in a long while date night kind of place. Should frost some of the windows or something so cars parking in front on the restaurant don’t blind people as they dine.”

“What a quaint little restaurant. It is very small but the service is quick and very friendly. The food was extremely delicious! My two sons even ate, and it's like pulling teeth trying to get them to eat something new. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I would love to come back and get something new as well.”

“That atmosphere is lovely, loved meeting Rose and the drinks were good, although one for me was overwhelming sweet. We really wanted to like this place, but the food was underwhelming. Even after reading the reviews, I didn't feel I had too high expectations, but I was not expecting what we got. Everything could of used more salt and I never say that. I'm fairly certain the parsnip fries didn't have any and every dish we had was sort of bland? I appreciate the vegetarian options, but they should really come with a lactose warning. The pot pie was somewhat soupy (lots of cream and lots of butter) and needed something extra; definitely salt, maybe potatoes? All in all, go for a drink or two, bring a deck of cards, stay for the atmosphere, but get food somewhere else. Music was nice, lighting was chill.”

“I'm a bit ashamed that I haven't tried this place sooner. I have to admit, I've driven by this place many times and just assumed it was another brewery where you go to try craft beers and ciders. It also always seemed to be empty when I drove by. I would glance in the windows from Perry Ave. and wonder why such a nice looking place was always empty. It turns out, that area of the building is under construction and the open area is in the back and is actually the bar. After checking them out on Yelp and seeing their menu, I decided we finally had to try it out. The first time we came, I made the mistake of not checking their hours and realized they weren't open. We were finally able to make it on a gloomy rainy afternoon and took a seat in a quiet little corner of the bar. There weren't too many patrons, but it could just be we were a bit too early for the bar or dinner crowd. The bartender was very friendly and helpful and explained some of the different dishes to us. He seemed to know a lot about the business and the food. We ordered the fried pickles as our appetizer since it's one of our favorites to try at new places. They came out piping hot, made to order and the portion was huge. The batter on them was a nice deep brown and very crispy. The pickles tasted home made as well. Very good. My lady ordered the shepard's pie since she's never had that dish before and I ordered the pork belly poutine. The food came out quickly and were also really large portions. We knew we'd be leaving with leftovers. My poutine wasn't as hot as I was hoping, the fries were hot and I could tell were cut and cooked to order, but the cold cheese and maybe the lukewarm gravy really cooled it off. It was still very rich and full of flavor. The little pork belly pieces were sweet and salty and melt in your mouth tender. The shepard's pie came out super hot, and once it had a moment to cool a bit and set up, it was very good. Lot's of fresh veggies. The addition of cheese on top is not conventional but a welcome addition. It did need a little bit of salt. We asked the bartender what the dessert for the day was and he let us know it was carrot cake with candied walnuts and a brandy cream cheese frosting with home made caramel sauce. This sounded way too good to pass up, so we ordered one to share. We devoured it. It was moist and not too sweet. The candied walnuts were crunchy and savory. We aren't really craft beer drinkers, so we didn't try any of the beers or cocktails, but I did notice they have home made iced tea which prompted me to order an Arnold Palmer, one of my favorite non-alcoholic drinks. It was very tasty. The building is really cool and you could tell it has a lot of history. They did a pretty decent job with the decor, considering how big this building is. We will be coming back here often for date nights or maybe even for some cocktails or celebrations. There are many other items on the menu we want to try. We also plan on trying their brunch menu which also looks amazing. All of the prices here are very reasonable as well. It is cheaper than many other options in the area that serve terrible food. If you're looking for a cool, hip place to get really good food at a good price, and I'm sure really good cocktails, try this place out. They also have pin ball machines, a pool table and a shuffle board, so it would be great for a boys or girls night out having fun and being competitive. I'm not sure if it's great for families, but could be fun to bring your older kids to watch some football and eat some food. We're glad we found this little gem where they take pride in not only their brewery, but their food.”

“This tiny little BBQ Pub In Gorst, WA (outside of Port Orchard) is a spirited place. They feature one to two BBQ entrees each night. We had half-chicken. Really yummy. The gal on staff was sweet as can be. The pub has dozens of draft handles hanging from the ceiling, fun signs and more. Oh! Don’t forget to try their made on site draft root beer!”

“Our absolutely most favorite place for breakfast and lunch (haven’t tried dinner yet). The food is plentiful and delicious. Our server Tash is attentive, efficient and really a nice person. The food has been consistently excellent over time (2 years coming). The decor is old and that’s part of the roadhouse charm! Haven’t ever had a bad meal.”
