“Overall review: The food was amazing, and I would have given 5 stars, but the bartender had a rather rude conversation about us with another customer, which threw off the experience somewhat. - - - My husband and I stopped on our way home from Seattle last weekend as a part of our birthday celebrations. I was blown away by the clam chowder (probably the best I've ever had), and really liked the calamari as well. The chowder was piping hot, full of potatoes and goodness, broth was amazing, and it was piled high with mussels on top and the pat of butter was a really good touch. Highly recommend getting the bread with your chowder and dipping it. The calamari was better than average. They use bigger pieces than most places, so the calamari itself was the star of the plate rather than the fry batter. My husband liked it as well but didn't love the bigger pieces- guess that's a personal taste thing. We also ordered oyster shooters, which were just okay but they're a fun experience. Drinks were great and we'll definitely go back for the food. The only uncomfortable part of our experience was hearing the bartender joking about how we looked underage with one of her bar customers while we sat down- we're both 22, and yes, we look young, but it never feels good to be talked about, especially by your server and another customer in the restaurant. After the conversation she came over and ID'd us first thing. Other than that the service itself was fine.”

“Sawan is located in Lynwood. A small town on southern Bainbridge island. Out of the few restaurants within Lynwood, Sawan is definitely one of the stronger restaurants to go to when visiting Lynwood. It has great service and a fantastic atmosphere. I’ve eaten here many times and highly recommend eating here. Basically everything on the menu is great. I recommend the drunken noodles with sticky rice, but they have many great dishes. Overall it is a great family run restaurant. If you are in Lynwood definitely come here.”

“Just moved here recently and this became my new coffee place immediately. Everyone there was nice and the house drip coffee is good and at a good price. They have a good coffee loyalty program and I already enjoyed my first free drink on New Years Eve. I stopped over for a beer later that evening , ( amazing pints) and ended up staying until they closed. I really did not know anyone in town yet and I was really made to feel at home. Talked to many nice locals and heard some very nice music from Kara Hesse who was the featured performer. It was a very nice evening, nice crowd, lots of families having fun and very glad this establishment is right by me !”

The toppings were fresh and the quality was consistent now the third take out order we have had. I will be a returning customer as it's just down the street from my place. “Great little cafe for breakfast and/or lunch. Cozy feel with a hippie decor and friendly staff. The food is very good, and quality coffee is available with it. Main drawback is that the small size belies its popularity. They seem to have space available to expand - and I think retain that cozy atmosphere - but choose not to. As it is now, expect a wait, especially on weekends.”

“1st, This was my first visit here after living a few blocks away for the past 2+years. 2nd, Tuesday 3pm-9pm is $1.50 a can beer night... Which this time just so happened to be New Years Eve. & they sold street tacos out front. 3rd, I had a great night. Great atmosphere, good people & good beer. “Always like places named for the golf community. This is a fairly large sports bar in Chico that has a very nice open atmosphere. The bar tender was very much on top of what was going on and when I asked for food to go she was extremely help full. You can tell that this is one of those places you like to go with friends and hang out. Parking was fine, I have a large truck and had no problems. Food was out in a timely manner and was pretty standard for a Cheese burger with bacon. Little pricey but this is a sports bar after all. Place was clean and the volume was not out of control.”

We were able to hold a meeting without disturbing other diners, and still have conversations where we could hear each other. They were friendly and my food stayed together so that was a plus. If I could rate them out of 10, I'd give them a 3/10 for being slow, 7/10 for the food, and 8/10 for being friendly and hooking me up, no questions asked.”

“Well we have been going to this restaurant for years and years. And the same great service and food. Now Sam and his wife got the chance to retire and passed the controls over to a new owner and new ideas. Slide change to the menu and a few new faces and I’m not one for change but this is still a great place to take your friends and family to have a good quick dinner and have some good conversation. I’m glad some things have not changed. Give it a try and go for the food but try the conversation the best part it’s free and well worth it. The staff remembers you name and is always willing to talk. This is great we will always be back. Change is ok but don’t lose the conversation.”
