Worlds End Public House

We drove over from Vancouver, WA. Friday after work.
Stopped in at World's End for a late dinner. It was our first time there. I had the Cod Dinner. This was the most perfectly lightly battered Cod i have had on the west coast! Many restaurants over batter the cod and its it's too greasy and overdone. World's End Cod was moist, flaky, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Even the cole slaw was excellent. Rarely, are we pleasantly surprised with our meals as much as we were at World's End.

Service was initially slow though improved when another waitress arrived to balance the bar and table customers. Food was fresh though average; burger garnishments barely covered the bun - less than half an onion slice with a single, small lettuce leaf. I may dine here again though there are much better choices in Long Beach, WA I'd choose first.

This place has very good food.
Sadly the service was horrible ☹️
We were told to seat ourselves,, we did.
Then we waited, waited, waited for service.
After we ordered our food we waited even longer to get it.
The cook had the order done and waiting up on the warming counter for over 5 minutes when I decided to go ask for my food. As I was asking for my food the cook had asked a different waitress to please take the order out as it had been there quite a while.
I told him that we just didn't want to eat cold food.
The next order was placed on the warming counter and we watched it sit there so my fiance told the waitress that it was up there & she should get it to the customer.
Long story short when spending $50.00 for my meal I expect to be treated a little better.
The cook rocked the cooking of our seafood ????????
He gets a double thumbs up ????????????????

Came here with my family when visiting over the holidays. This place used to be an antique mall when I was growing up, so it was interesting to see it turned into a pub. The service was amazing, very friendly and attentive. Solid selection of beers, and some ciders. They food was also really tasty, we all enjoyed our meal. And whatever playlist they had playing was on point, very nostalgic for my dad. Will be happy to come back again, hope it sticks around.
