The restaurant is beautiful. I love how the setting is dark n the light brightens your area as if you're alone with the person/persons that's with you. The drinks are strong and amazing. Loved the food! Spencer was our bartender and he was awesome at serving us.
Hands down the nicest restaurant in Tacoma. The quality of the service, atmosphere and food are indescribably good. It's always so nice to find a place where dressing up is appropriate and adds to the dining experience. The steak and seafood array they offer is impressive, and their drinks are made to perfection.
Seriously, just make a reservation and go to El Gaucho! It was the best date I've had in years.
We love coming here for happy hour or for an elegant meal. The drinks are carefully crafted and well balanced. The Gaucho Burger is a must and I love their sidecar. Another must is the Insane Truffle Soup. Not getting it is a mistake. Great spot for friends, a hot date, anniversary, or any other time you want to get amazing dishes and cocktails. It's a must visit place for great service, amazing dishes, and an overall wonderful experience.
Pro tip! Try the Hickory Manhattan. It's quite the spectacle!!
Special recognition to our bartender Travis. Prompt service and great with his guests.
Ordered the taste of Gaucho and it was really good. Also ordered the Mac and cheese, which I believe was the tastiest thing that I ordered. However, the highlight of my experience would be the service provided by our server Markus. He truly went above and beyond to ensure that the experience was the best. He was knowledgeable about the menu, provided great suggestions, and was just a really pleasant guy! All of the staff that I encountered appeared friendly. The ambience was very warm and intimate - it was literally a candle lit dinner, so much so that they provide flash lights to see the menu! Truly an awesome experience!
So many things I love about El Gaucho.
First of all, the BEST bread pudding (I’ve had a lot) and Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. I would go here just for those two things and not even have to get an entree. Oh yeah can’t forget the mashed potatoes.
The service is awesome. And what they do for you if you have an anniversary or special event is something I haven’t experienced before with other fine dining. They go above and beyond and know what they’re doing.
I’ve been to John Howie and other similar places which are X2 the price and I prefer here. The service(s) and food you can’t beat. I love it!
