El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant

Went for a birthday party had a separate back room. As we settled in the servers asked us NOT to sit adjacent to our reserved tables. It felt strange but I could see how they had specific tables set up for the party. Good drinks, great food!

I've lived in Washington for 4 years and El Sombrero is bar none the tastiest Mexican food I've had in the state. From the chips and salsa to entrees and skinny margaritas everything was made to perfection and delicious. We look forward to our next visit!

This place has nice basic no frills Mexican food. Great place for a lunch or quick dinner at a good price. Has nice big TVs for watch sports as well. Nice staff, quick service and decent price.

Throughout my lifetime I have ate at El Sombrero countless times when visiting Walla Walla. The most recent time was Monday, Feb. 7, 2022. El Sombrero has a monopoly on the Mexican family restaurant industry in the town which says a lot about its food as Walla Walla has a large Hispanic population. Inside the restaurant is beautiful with the bar area really aesthetically pleasing. The renovation that was completed several years back really turned out gorgeous.

I think the food is superb. Always fresh and the chips are warm. On our most recent visit Jesse was our server and while it took a little longer for our food to come out, service was still decent and our meals delicious. I would say prices at El Sombrero are a tad more expensive than your average family Mexican restaurant but I believe it is worth it. We look forward to eating at El Sombrero the next time we are in Walla Walla.

We love this place! We moved from Portland and we're trying to find new favorite restaurants. Our date nights are important and we don't like to be disappointed with the food. We love El sombreros staff and so far their food has been delicious!
