“Just to “set the table,” this restaurant is a little pricey. However, the service is exceptional. We actually tipped above the mandatory service charge already at 20%. But the staff were way above normal in knowledge, service, and friendliness. The place is spotless. Great ambiance and lighting. My wife had a blueberry margarita and it was very good. I had scotch based drink called the Station 41. It was great. We did the five course chef service and enjoyed everything. Some of the best food we’ve had in a while when dining out. Easily the best meal and restaurant in Walla Walla, and we’ve been to almost every place here over the years. I include pictures of each serving. I would highly recommend this restaurant and it’s my go to for future engagements. The last photo is of one of their extraordinary burgers. They were filming for a show “Wine-O” while we were there so go catch that episode.”

“Throughout my lifetime I have ate at El Sombrero countless times when visiting Walla Walla. The most recent time was Monday, Feb. 7, 2022. El Sombrero has a monopoly on the Mexican family restaurant industry in the town which says a lot about its food as Walla Walla has a large Hispanic population. Inside the restaurant is beautiful with the bar area really aesthetically pleasing. The renovation that was completed several years back really turned out gorgeous. I think the food is superb. Always fresh and the chips are warm. On our most recent visit Jesse was our server and while it took a little longer for our food to come out, service was still decent and our meals delicious. I would say prices at El Sombrero are a tad more expensive than your average family Mexican restaurant but I believe it is worth it. We look forward to eating at El Sombrero the next time we are in Walla Walla.”

“Our server Matt was the best! Our group of 7 had an excellent time, and enjoyed delicious food and drinks. Everyone was happy with their meals. The steak was perfect and melted in your mouth, the Brussel sprouts were yummy. I loved the butterscotch oatmeal cookie for dessert, and the dessert martinis were delicious as well. I don’t think you can go wrong here. I thought the Summer Fling was yummy - sort of like a sweet salad. They bring out toppings for the baked potato for everyone to share so you build your own and have plenty of toppings. I would definitely come back here.”

The shortness of the flavor depends on what you put on it. Also while cooking.. The taste is absolutely amazing. However it is sad to see how empty it is in here.. They keep the floors clean under the tables which is always something that will help inform you of general restaurant cleanliness no matter where you eat. This is one of the most consistent restaurants in town. I wish they offered a Chile Pablano. It has always been my habit to check the restroom cleanliness and havenever been disappointed. If you come during the day there is an antique store adjacent in the same building. Be careful at the antique shop, you will find goodies there that cost a ton more than your meal next door. There is plenty of free parking in a large paved parking lot off the main street.”

“This place is a classic staple of walla walla. I don't visit town without eating here, but the last several times I've visited, they have screwed up my order in some way or another. I worked on the restaurant business for several years so I know mistakes happen but it is way too consistent. My order doesn't strike me as difficult. Cheeseburger, no pickles, no relish, no tomato, no mayo, fry sauce on the side (since they told me they don't sub fry sauce on the burger itself which made no sense). They always screw this order up, and today was most disappointing because for whatever reason they removed the onion. Walla walla sweet onions are the best around and they MAKE this burger. So, definitely disappointing. I don't expect the workers to be all happy go lucky unrealistically enthusiastic. But at least take your headphones out if you can't seem to hear orders correctly.”

“We absolutely loved our stay at the Eritage. We were there over the Thanksgiving weekend and felt like we had the resort to ourselves. The location is so incredibly beautiful, situated between wheat fields and vineyards. Our check in was flawless, it felt like a family member was welcoming us into their home. We stayed in the bungalow farthest from the main building and it was so very peaceful. Everything about the room exceeded our expectations - HUGE bathroom beautifully decorated, large fireplace with a bed in front of it for our dog, large sliding glass doors that looked out on the pond and hillside behind the resort. We enjoyed laying in bed one morning when it was storming and watching the wind blow across the pond. The food in the restaurant is top-notch. Having breakfast included and prepared to order was a very nice surprise. It's a special place and we will definitely be back.”
