“This place is now under new ownership. Now named "Love & Flour". most elements are the same. Essential Bakery bread is still available but they have stocked the RTE case with delicious deli salads. The vibe is better you can feel the difference. I look forward to discovering more. 2/29/20”

“I had somebody tell me that her mother was French and many bakeries don't take the time to make croissants properly (2 days). She recommended this bakery highly and a croissant with a foamy cappuccino. I ordered the plain croissant and savory pastry and drip coffee. They were so good that when the waiter said his go to was the cappuccino and chocolate croissant.....I had that for dessert. Excellent! Delicious. Worth it. :-)”

“It's Panera Bread. What could go wrong? Literally nothing. Their location is perfect (right next to my work), and my salad was cold and fresh, my turkey chili was delicious. Fast service, friendly staff. Will be back.”

“This is one of my favorite places to eat in Redmond. The selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, breakfast and treats makes it a great group meeting spot. Everyone in your group will likely find something they like for meal.time. Consistent quality, good nutritious food. Good coffee, and tea too. Popular at meal times.”

“Best bagel shoppe in Washington! The bagels are made in house and are always amazing. There are tons of bagels and schmears to choose from. Additionally there is tons of cool art around the shoppe. I come here all the time and would have to my favorite bagel is the French toast with butter. :)”

“Came here at the suggestion of a friend. I was vaguely aware this place was here having driven past it for years, but I had never actually gone in. I am glad we tried it. Prices are a bit above casual lunch prices but the quality and preparation of the food appears worth it if you're looking for an elevated experience. Had the Cobb salad with chicken, which at (I believe) $18 is maybe a couple bucks above average price, but the salad was above average. All the individual parts stood well on their own, and the result was a very tasty and filling lunch. The story I was told is this space used to serve as the kitchen for a very skilled caterer who eventually opened the restaurant, and it has expanded from there. I would absolutely love to go to a party catered by these folks! All in all, I will certainly come back. Next time I will probably try the taco Tuesday special. I'd also enjoy coming back for dinner, and try some of the more adventurous entrees.”

“Cute little coffee shop. They had a small selection of pastries. There is also seating for a few people upstairs. My husband and I each got a vanilla latte and split a cookie with our daughter. Delicious!”

“The food is pretty good and reasonably priced in my opinion. Their papaya green tea is actually really good. The only drink I get when I am there.”

“Both occasions I've visited this place I have truly enjoyed my meals. I feel they have some of the best pancakes as well from both size and flavor. I've been in both at the morning hours when it's busy and middle of the night and feel the customer service is amazing. My only complaint is I've found that on both occasions I've been served my meal with something incorrect even if minor. This place also has one of the best overall menus. There is always something new to try regardless of the time of day.”

“Absolutely amazing! I had a turkey croissant, my husband had a ham and swiss. We are on a road trip and so far this is the best food we had! Those were so good we decided to get pastries and wow, incredible....we got them for the road but they didn't make it that long. I'm keeping this place saved in hopes we can order some scones by mail! Oh, the service was sweet too.”

“Barely edible. Incredibly slow service even when they have a full crew. Wife had turkey dinner and it was turkey "loaf". It was newly remodeled. Too bad that the prices were "remodeled" upwards.”

“I'm always surprised there aren't more reviews for this spot. AMazing donuts, and we love using them for birthday cakes. The dough is perfect!”

“Vanessa and her staff here at Unwind Cafe are absolutely amazing! This is by far my favorite place to drop into when I’m on Alki w my dog. They’re dog friendly too w awesome treats. They would make me celery juice when I was on a cleanse, their bagel sandwiches and all juices and smoothies are so delicious. I also love that they use all organic fruits and veggies.”

“Stopped in for a coffee while visiting Seattle. Placed an order for a 'shot in the dark' I believe it was called. The place was pretty busy with a standing wait. After about 5 minutes I got my coffee and was very pleased! Will definitely revisit for the coffee when back in the area.”

“Had an excellent cup of coffee here while I was in Washington last week. Cute store set up. Nice vibe inside. Great choices. Decaf was delicious! Alt milk choices aplenty. Would definitely recommend this coffee shop!”

“This is my go-to spot when guests come to the area and we need late night food. Ba Bar is great any time, but unbeatable after 10p. The menu is delicious and there's something for everyone. The ingredients are well-sourced; I'm especially grateful for the ethical meat sourcing. The beer and cocktail menu is also good, they make a mean Moscow Mule and have some lovely inventions. Service can be slow on rare occasions, and I've had less success ordering standard cocktails, I suggest sticking to the awesome ones on their menu.”

“Oh my gosh, this place is the BEST! Firstly, the pies are phenomenal. The breakfast pies are my personal favorite, but they’re genuinely all good! Secondly, the owner (I assume?) is the sweetest! He’s so happy to help and talk to you! He’s full of awesome dad jokes about pies, which is such a huge plus. When I ordered my pie, he made it fresh so I had to wait a few minutes. I sat at a table, and he brought it time a few minutes later! He left, but then came back with a cup of water for me to have with my food! I was blown away by the customer service! I was able to customize a few pies, which I greatly appreciate since I’m the pickiest person ever. I plan on going back later this week even though it’s not on my way to where I’m going, and will for sure be in whenever I’m at the mall. Would rate higher if possible!”

“Most dinner selections are "French Sized" - very small... Great if you are not very hungry - otherwise plan on ordering a few different items, and to spend accordingly. The food was very tasty ???? and they have a huge wine selection, including the option for "Small Pours" so you can try a variety of different wines. They also have a very nice selection of French Pastries - we are definitely coming back to try a few of these...”

“Good quality food and service. I had a Chicken ceaser on a Jalapeno bagel (never heard of CS on a bagel before!). It was very tasty. I would recommend as a lunch spot or breakfast.”

“The best place you could ever go for breakfast or for a lunch or for whatever. The bagels here are fresh and delicious! Any bagel is good, their muffins and brownies are also delicious. Try the pizza pepperoni bagel with ham, pepper jack cheese and chipotle cream cheese. ”

“Coffee is superb! however, the pasties are so cheap and “massively produced” tasting. This bakery definitely lost the uniqueness of delicate French baking methods over the last several years and producing poor quality but “pretty looking” pastries. PLEASE MAKE TRUE DELICATE PASTRIES FOLLOWING THE FREMCH PROCESS AND THE RECIPES, WE WILL ONLY SUPPORT YOU MORE ❤️”

“I was finally able to try this place and it did not disappoint. The breakfast sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. From the bun, to the basil mayo and perfectly cooked egg (I also added cheese and bacon), it was all so tasty. I was also able to try their infamous cinnamon roll and wow. Seriously they know what they're doing here. Highly recommend if you're in the area.”

“We stopped in here on our way to the ferry. It’s a casual spot. You order at the counter. I felt that it was pricey for counter service. Our total came to $40 for two meals and two coffee. Food was good, but wasn’t served piping hot. However service was quick!”

“Hands down the best coffee I have ever had! The almond milk latte I had was rich and smooth with no bitterness and no acidity. What stood out was the sweetness of the latte. I almost doubt if they put sugar in it! Victrola has very good latte, but Blackbird bakery's latte is even better!”
