“I'll start by saying the only reason this doesn't get five stars is because of the employees. The food itself was delicious and should we ever be near an A and W again we will absolutely try again. When we first got there it was fine we placed our order and received our food in a timely manner. The food was great!!! The employees disappear to the back to do whatever it is back there and took their time getting to the register when another customer came in. While we were eating 2 guys came in that apparently were regulars because suddenly there are five employees all out by the register chatting with these two gentlemen. While this is happening one of the employees took her gloved hand and wiped it all over her face and scratched her arm several times then went and made these guys their milkshakes and floats without ever changing gloves. We finished eating and wanted to get some ice cream to go. We walked up to the counter to place a second order and the cashier walked away and then the two employees standing at the doorway to the kitchen are waving at another regular customer who is behind us. THen one of them came up to the register to take our order. As our order is being taken the other employee that was standing there went and talked to this regular customer and took her order and proceeded to go make that before our order was even placed, We ordered a papa burger, chocolate milkshake, and hot fudge sundae. The regular customers order was out before ours. This would have been fine if there was only 1 or 2 people were working in the back but we seen at least 4 when the first two regulars had come in so someone should have helped the girl make our ice cream. It seemed to us that if you were a regular and knew the staff then you got the royal treatment but if you weren't then you were just an inconvenience and the employees almost seemed bothered to be taking our orders. As said before we enjoyed the food but the employees need some training on treating their customers because they seemed like they wanted to socialize more with each other in the back and with their friends.”

“Not exactly what we were expecting when we stopped in. But we were greeted by a cheerful young lady and were instructed to sit wherever we'd like. The menus doesn't have a large selection, but there are some good choices. We chose the chicken quesadilla, a burger with fries and the smothered chicken. And for such a small kitchen, we were impressed by the cooks ability to get everything just right. The food was very filling and delicious. Portion size was more than acceptable, especially the quesadilla which was large. A few drinks at the bar and we agreed to return a few more times, each time leaving very satisfied with our decision. The atmosphere while not being very restaurant, was very pleasing and a nice change compared to what we are used to. The servers are very nice and their service was great at every visit. Definitely worth checking out when you're in the area. The surrounding views are worth traveling to see.”

“This place has some of the best dogs! They have mild, medium, and hot sauce that have that perfect saucy hot dog flavor. I am part dragon and wish the hot was HOT, but I figure most people would find their hot sauce hot enough. They also have great pepperoni rolls, , plain, with cheese, sauce delicious peppers, and they will warm them in a toaster oven if you like. There is an old feel to this place, from original screen door pushbar to a fantastic collection of old pictures on the wall. There is both counter seating and a few booths. The atmosphere like an old 50's dog joint. There is plenty of old fashioned things to look at on the walls. I used the words "old fashioned" but this place probably kept the look of when it first opened a long time ago. The best and most amazing thing about Woody's is watching their employees make those dogs. If there were a contest on how quick, they would definitely win. I have so much fun watching them being made... and even more fun eating those dogs!”
