Banzo

We stopped by Banzo after not getting into our first choice for dinner on Saturday night. We've never been before and had no idea what to expect. Well, what a pleasant surprise! We were initially disconcerted by the sort of "fast food" front counter ordering, but the staff person was incredibly helpful. She even brought us a sample so we could taste one of the meat options! Banzo is in a re-purposed house, so the dining area is quite cozy. We loved the wall colors, lighting and decor! But the real standout surprise was the food -- DELICIOUS! We went with the platters and enjoyed each and every bite. I'm really glad we decided to try the Tahini cookie for dessert -- already my new favorite dessert in Madison

The best falafel I've ever had! And their hummus is outstanding too! Get the F-Bomb platter with chicken...you won't be disappointed.

Great dinner on one of the first warm evenings of spring in Madison. Food was good, service was almost as good... Make sure to order extra pita if you get platter!

Obsessed with this place! The food is really delicious and the ambience is so cute!! It’s definitely unique for a Mediterranean restaurant. I got the falafel platter and I was surprised that they give you a couple potato chips but I’m not complaining ???? It’s also right next to a beautiful park and you can sit outside and eat as well :)

Food was great and if that was the sole reason I chose a place this would be a 5 star joint. Unfortunately that’s not the case. I had had Banzo food via the cart and have always liked the food. Today I came w my wife and kids and sat down. This will NEVER happen again. Despite the location being fair parking being ample and the decorum being nice..... the staff was so cold and distant that I was hurt by the patronizing looks and comments. I hadn’t been there before didn’t understand the lay out and asking questions and being jovial was not appreciated. The girl working the counter gave several dirty looks and even consulted a coworker sitting at the bar who gave equally disdained looks. I was really not happy w that kind of welcoming. To the point that I didn’t know what else to do but leave a review. Stick w the cart and don’t waste your time on site.
