Last pit stop, bookend,.. whatever you want to call it. This is that spot, dive you end up at the end of a long fun night. It’s rustic, sort of dirty, and very Madison very Wisco local flavor kind of place. Highly recommend it to tourists and visitors that want to see something authentic. I find it fascinating and almost historic, as it preserves what it was like before gentrification and all the hipster and cool cafes and bars started popping up. Very casual, come as you are type atmosphere. Street parking available. Never eaten there, I hear they serve some food items, but I cannot comment on that. Great for groups. Good times!
Your ordinary neighborhood bar. The bartender couldn't be found first 10 minutes I got there. She made my drink wrong but she was very nice. I felt for her being the only bartender. Music was pretty good and the crowd was a good mixture.
This is your classic Madison/Wisconsin local bar. I go here regularly with my friends to unwind to the jukebox and get some curds. FYI, these folks have one of the top three burgers in town, in my opinion. And the bartenders are all really nice, interesting people. Good service too! Reminder that this place is cash-only, but they do have an ATM.
Local beloved dive bar. College kids, hipsters, townies. Beer and shots kind place. Awesome service, great burgers. Usually pleasantly cramped, so don't go if you are claustrophobic at peak times. Cash only.
It's a dive bar. Don't mean that it's not worth going. But also doesn't mean you should start your bar crawl here. Maybe end here and then contemplate your life choices. It's a great place for that. Also the regulars can be nice!
