Settle Down Tavern

The atmosphere and staff were great! I ordered the fish spread. Which was basic and very salty with crackers and hot sauce. The 9$ burger was tasty but also very salty. The fries come separate, which I chose the the ghost pepper seasoning which I enjoyed but couldn't eat more than a few because the amount of salt added to them. I wish they tone down the salt in the future. Will return for drinks in the future.

Their Good Idea Burger is awesome. My kids love the Cheese Puppies, which is high praise considering how many cheese curds they’ve eaten. Great cocktails and very attentive service make it our new favorite spot on the square. The Streatery outdoor seating is safe and comfortable and their atrium seating setup is very charming. Can’t wait to enjoy a cocktail in the tavern once our world gets back to normal.

One of the best burgers that I have had in Madison hands down.

Okay I wish I had pictures to add because I literally SMASHED my smash burger and drank my drink before I realized to do this.

By FAR the best burger in Madison. The meat, the bun, everything was so satisfying and it won’t weigh you down for the rest of the night. Their cocktails are incredible and don’t be afraid to ask them to make anything you want because the bartenders here can do it.

And finally the customer service. Incredible. The servers were attentive and nice. And owner, Ryan, interacting with guests and pouring drinks for waiting customers. All around an incredible experience.

Madison is a better place with Settle Down Tavern.

The total package. Great area and vibe. Friendly from start to finish. The best burger and fries in town. Amazing cocktails. We are regulars after a few short months. Always a great experience.
