If you like Glass Nickel, order here instead. If you usually order from franchise chains, give it a shot. Notes: - Both thin and hand-tossed pies are good (hand-tossed can feed a crowd and a half). - Have not yet tried wings or mac - I've had no issues with slow service. - Hours aren't great (close at 8 PM seven nights a week)”

“I don’t write positive reviews enough. I have a severe peanut allergy and a lot of Chinese/ Asian foods have nuts or can’t promise they don’t cross contaminate. I had an accidental exposure several years ago at another Chang Jiang restaurant in Madison. That said, I LOVE CHINESE FOOD!! I crave, specifically, this style of quick takeout Chinese. I finally got brave enough to try this place and after calling to confirm no peanuts first, picked up my order 10 minutes later (if that, but it’s a Tues.) The place clean, food was fresh and exactly what I’ve been craving. Best of all, I’m fine and so grateful to have found my new quick-Chinese go-to!”

“Hidden Gem! Recommended by our hotel with bonus drink tickets and within walking distance. Excellent dinners of salmon and wildrice, and California style Sandwiches. Music was a bit loud at window tables making conversation a bit difficult. Sports bar feel, with 9 TVs streaming a variety of games from our point of view! The staff were all very nice and super accommodating. My opinion....Missing a bigger market! Could use a few more kid friendly items on a menu, especially being so close to the local hotels who host a large number of competitive dance, skating and sport families. Who would be very inclined to walk across the street and dine out if there were specials offered, especially with your wall of beer menu for the walking parents! Will recommend!”

“On a cold and windy day, I longed for a warm meal that was also good. I had heard of this place but never been. Lunch was good and quick. I asked for a recommendation from the counter service and was told everything was good. I went with the roast beef sandwich which is the first entree he mentioned. The same story was true for the included side which for me was potato salad. It was good but I’d prefer it came with the plated food rather than in a clam shell from the cooler. The roast beef sandwich was delicious. Excellent meat with seasoning enhanced it without overshadowing.”

“A nice addition to the Verona coffee shop selection. Trendy interior and a helpful, kind staff. It’s a beautiful space with lots of seating options. The bakery is tasty and from a local vendor, Rosie’s Bakery. The coffee is from Rusty Dog, also a Madison vendor. I appreciate the partnership with local businesses. I’m not a huge fan of the coffee myself as it veers on the darker side. That said, I think the shop will satisfy the typical coffee consumer.”

Wednesday dinner special is choice of fish and taters. Can’t go wrong with a split order of Cod, shrimp and a baked potato combo. The Cod was thick, white, super fresh and though breaded, it wasn’t overly greasy. Wednesday is BINGO! night, so expect a crowd. But the locals are friendly and out for a good time. We had one too”
