“Fun place to visit. Feels like a tropical get away, but you are sort of in the middle of no where! Definitely could use a little up keep... cigarette butts all over the beach, needs painting, games were all broken. The girls that were working were doing as best as they could... but clearly could use a few more workers. Drinks and food were good! Very convenient little day trip.”

“As I work my way through eventually tasting the entire menu, so far so good! With lots of delicious items to choose from, A Family Affair Soulfood Kitchen is a great option for a real food experience. But while the food is good, and I, personally do NOT have an issue, some people may think the menu items are priced a little high. Still, with this being the only restaurant in the area serving soul food, one may also agree that this warrants the price. If I had to be incredibly critical about anything at ANY restaurant, it would be consistency. When I come back, I want that exact same taste that amazed my taste buds the first time. Of the four times that I have placed an order, A Family Affair has been deliciously good every time, although not consistent with some of the sides. Please do not let that stop you from an incredible food experience though. Because I know I'll be back...again and again!”

“Good atmosphere, great staff. The breakfast bun and cinnamon rolls were exceptional! My husband loved the brownie. Coffee flavors were fantastic, not to sweet. The cookies weren’t my favorite but cookies are very personal. Had a date with my kiddos, one of them spilled my coffee and they graciously made me a new one without me even asking. So great to see a true bake shop around, we will definitely be back and bring friends.”

“Brand new business in the Old Cooligans. Finally made it in for their Friday fish fry. I had their two piece baby pike. I never saw that before so I had to try it. It tastes just like perch. I got the sweet potato fries and it also came with hush puppies and coleslaw. All of it was very good. I'm looking forward to trying their pizza next.”
