“My wife and I decided to make a random lakefront drive up from IL towards Milwaukee with the intentions of stopping somewhere for food and drinks. Ran into this place and honestly stopped because this is our initials J and C lol. The bartender was excellent! The place was super super clean. The homemade chips and salsa were quite good. Definitely tasted homemade. Ordered a dozen wings, also very much above avg for the bar world. I had a steak wrap that was simply amazing. You could tell it was freshly cut steak. My wife had a cheese curd burger that was also very very good. Handmade patty. Excellent. Highly recommended!”

My friend who is 50, said that this is the best ox tail he has had in his life. Every single person loved the food. She is very cautious about cleanliness. “Since the change into Cozumel, I have to say that this place is now a top-notch Mexican restaurant. The bulk of my experiences with Cozumel were through carry out orders during the pandemic. Every single time, the service was great. The food is always packaged well and is still hot when I get home. Their specialty dishes taste amazing and always satisfy my Mexican food cravings. A huge highlight is any dish that contains carnitas. I also recommend their margs. Strong and lots of flavors. This is a near weekly spot for me.”

They do justice on the flavors. Be prepared to order early and come at the designated time and be patient. I guarantee you it will be worth the wait. Try any of the big platters or authentic spicy salads. A platter can feed 3 to 4 people so prepare to be satisfied with 1 or 2.”

Had to wait only a few extra minutes for our curbside pick-up and they went above and beyond offering us a free side. Not only that but one of the best vegan burgers ive ever had in all of my travels, and so close to home! And their ice cream? I tried the dirt cake flavor and was not disappointed, brought back the sweet memories of a childhood favorite. I recommend this spot to vegans and non vegans alike, a great burger is a great burger, even if (or especially when) it is cruelty free.”

Piping hot which is the best way to eat onion rings. Then I had an excellent Reuben sandwich. Shared a nice conversation with Kayla who was bartender/waitress/etc. Talked with Pat the owner as well. Very friendly. Nice music in the background. I will definitely go back. Food, service and prices all good. I might try a Friday night. In addition to their fish fry special, they have frogs legs.
