“The Black Bear Restaurant in Appleton is a great place to get a good meal and everything is very reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. I actually lost my wallet the other night. The next morning when I realized it and called the restaurant and asked if it had been turned in. The manager said that it was dropped off at my house and told me where they had put it. This was something totally unexpected and very much appreciated! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice “home cooked meal” and excellent service.”

“Stopped here for lunch on our way through. Food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Wish there had been better seasoning as my biggest complaint was that it was a little bland. With that being said it wasn't bad just ok. Service was prompt and she checked in a couple times but she was lacking personality and sincerity. However the waitress helping the table next to us was completely awesome. I felt the atmosphere was what I would expect from a family restaurant and overall it was clean.All in all if I was driving through again and needed something to eat I would probably stop here versus the other fast food options in town. I just wouldn't try the hamburgers again.”

“Classic version of a local dive bar (and I mean that in the best, most nostalgic way). However, it's clean, has modern amenities, and a solid menu of typical pub food. When I was there the music was too loud for my taste, mainly because I'm 36 and I prefer a place to easily have a conversation without shouting but Gentleman Jack's was solid place overall.”

“No longer Diggers but now Jaripeo, a sister location to the one in the Fox Cities. They have just opened and this was a great experience. Happy staff, warm welcome and tasty, hot food. Chile Colorado was spicy and served with excellent tortillas. Cold pints of Mexican tap beer very reasonably priced. We will be back and good luck with your recent opening. Nice addition to the area.”
