“Fantastic location, bar/restaurant on the first floor and whole lot more withing walking distance. Exceptionally well maintained, clean room, modern plumbing, furniture is in old style but clean and functional. I didn't see an elevator - pack accordingly, if that's an issue. You'll do better if you book in advance - the booking system has issues if booked last minute. That was just our experience - we did not receive check in/out instructions, which might not be straight forward first time, also we got it worked out on the spot. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be back again.”

“Place was amazing. We were recommended from one of the locals who lives close by. Has the oldest, coolest, wooden back bar I have ever seen. Mark was our bartender and made great cocktails for us for the time we were there. He recommended what to eat and everything was phenomenal let me tell you that. Best cheese curds I have ever had, light and fluffy beer breaded with home made dill ranch. We then had the pork belly bites, that I will now drive over an hour for just to eat again, and then the brat fries that is pure Wisconsin and completely original, we cleaned that plate too! Followed up by the best burger in town if you ask me. Joe, the owner, is a culinary genius who is a Chef. Turns out he was there that night working hard as well as Mark pointed and it showed with the quality of our whole night. Came from the Pewaukee area to play golf at The Bog but will now be going back for the food. 10/10, best food we had Port Washington. Prices were extremely reasonable for what you get too. I can't rave about this place enough. Keep up the good work!”

“My wife and I stopped in for lunch and we were not disappointed. The entrance from Franklin Street is the same door as the Chiropractor. You will need to go down the stairs to find the restaurant. The atmosphere is comfortable & private and the service was very good. The smoked salmon spread was a great way to start. My wife ordered the Susan B and she enjoyed it much. I enjoyed the Pilgrim tremendously. The menu is somewhat limited, but we're hopeful it will grow as time passes. It will definitely be one of my regular stops.”

“Pretty nice spot in downtown Port Washington. Family friendly (they have crayons at the table to color with) and little bread sticks in a cup. My favorite thing about this place was the delicious eggplant fries. I always seek these at every Italian place I go to but sometimes they are soggy. Not at Pasta Shoppe, they are fried to perfection, a perfect crisp. Food otherwise was pretty decent, nothing that shouts amazing.”

“Typical sandwich. The bread is okay. The cuts of meat are deli sliced and seemed like it just wasn't enough. Same thing with the cheese. You can get plenty of bread and lettuce as a filler though. I would spend a little more as the quality is basic at best and go to another place. The staff are nice and pleasant to work with.”

“Oh man. I'm so glad we decided to stop here for a late dinner. We sat at the bar and ordered food; the bartender was attentive and friendly. The rest of the staff was awesome as well. I had ordered a burger and asked if they could throw an egg on it and they had no issue with changing it around. The burger came out and i was thrilled. It was juicy and delicious! The egg was cooked just as well as the burger. And the fries super tasty as well. Will definitely be returning.”

They have a very cozy sitting area upstairs with furniture and a great place to talk. The staff will engage you in sprightly repartee. The prices are reasonable. This place is just off the beautiful paved bike trail that goes all the way from Oostburg to Milwaukee.”

“Update Dec 18' much better sub last week. Four stars. First review=Three stars. The food is good and staff is usually pretty nice. Cousins runs copious amounts of coupons in local advertisements. This helps offsets the relatively high prices in comparison for what little meat you get on these sandwiches. Moreover, the consistency is not great. Of the dozen or so times I've been here over the past 3+ years, I'd say every forth time I get a sub that isn't just as good as the last. This isn't freaky fast food but it isn't even close to fast casual either. Personally, for me, nothing stands out about this place. Nevertheless, I'll go back eventually.”
