“If you, like us, went to this restaurant before the ownership change, you should definitely give this place another try. Before, it was just a mediocre Canadian-style restaurant, whereas now it's a surprisingly good Chinese-style restaurant. The General Tao chicken is pretty fantastic, and among the better chinese restaurants I've been to, coming out of the GTA. Don't overlook it! It's pretty good. Service is a tad slow, but overall the Wiarton Inn is a good restaurant.”

“The pizza itself was great. Tastes like what pizza hut used to taste like! The reason for the 4 stars though is that the staff seems disinterested and disorganized. When we arrived we asked if additional slices would be coming out, we were told no. Ironically, at that very moment, the fresh new pizza rounds the corner. Delicious though!”

“Stopped here to grab a bite on our way back home. Grabbed their special which was the crispy buffalo chicken cesar wrap with fries and it was delicious! The wrap was well balanced, didn't fall apart, and not overly salty. I love fries and these fries did not disappoint. They were thick cut and wonderfully crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The staff were awesome! I had my two dogs with me so we couldn't eat in but they kindly recommend I go down to the water just a short walk away and there are picnic areas, it was beautiful! I would definitely visit this restaurant again!”

“This place smells like a diner, and the decor is a bit, well, tired. But the service and the food was fab. The portions are HUGE. We initially thought the prices a bit high, until we got our food. We had 8 at our table and zero complaints. Only one empty plate out of the 8 of us, the majority couldn't finish our meals, and we can all eat!! Such a great little "hidden gem". It's a hopping, busy little spot! Would recommend.”

“I've been to plenty of subways, and this was easily the most normal experience I've had. I know based on my other reviews you'll probably think there's gonna be some spooky/random twist put in here somewhere, but I can assure you that isn't the case. The front of house people were very nice and helpful with the sub making process. I ordered a 12" pizza sub on Italian herb and cheese bread. The girl behind the counter asked if I wanted the marinara sauce, and I said yes. She proceeded to make direct eye contact with me, and gave me a huge smile. Slowly, her mouth began to open, and marinara sauce leaked out of it and onto the sub sitting on the counter below. The lights seem to form a vignette around the two of us, erasing the other employees and customers from my peripheral vision. The whole time this was happening, I couldn't pull my stare away from her eyes. Something told me if I did, there would be horrific and catastrophic consequences. I couldn't dare look at the marinara while it was falling. The screams were so loud, but I didn't dare join them. It's not my time yet. It's not my time yet. It's not my time yet. “Appearance: nothing special, just a side of the road type of joint Food: HOLY HELL. fish and chips were amazing, had almost no batter and all fish, and for the price its was great. Fries? Chip truck style BUT not too huge, perfect for small kids with little mouths. Poutine? Gravy was a bit salty but over all very delish Overall great restaurant and more importantly not over priced like everything in the town of sauble beach. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED”

“Went in for a post-camping double date, Tuesday evening. The place was bustling with people, quality live music, and a swwweeet view of sundown over Lake Huron. Our server Emily was this cool-type-of friendly and attentive from the start. Boyfriend and I had the onion rings (perfect temperature and crunch!) and then 1/2 Tower of Pisa, 1/2 Mediterranean (fresh basil on the first, lots of heartiness to the second). “If you're at Sauble Beach on a busy day and you see a line up at Mars Cosmic Fries, that's because their food is awesome! We usually buy something here. On my last visit, my family had the foot-long hot dogs, Bacon Cheeseburger, Spicy Burger, Cheeseburger, chicken strips and large fries to share. Everything had a delicious flavour, was fresh and hot...and the best crispy fries! Even if you're starving and you have kids waiting on you....it's worth the wait....so maybe line up 15 minutes before your original plan to get food! “I was passing through the area and the staff member at my hotel suggested I go here to try the fish and chips which I did. Easy one of the best fish and chips that I've had anywhere in Canada. The chips had a nice crisp on the outside while fluffy on the inside. The fish was perfectly battered and fried to a light golden brown. The oil temperature must've been perfect during frying because none of the food came out greasy. I also had some of the seafood platter and found the scallops and the shrimp to be perfect. This place is a hidden gem. Highly recommended.”

“Busy burger joint since the location is so convenient. Walking distance from the beach. The burgers were standard. The classic Beach Burger had an interesting distinct flavor. If you're not a fan of pineapple in savoury cuisine I'd recommend going for a standard cheese burger. The service is good but since there's a high demand and not enough staff you will be waiting a while for your burger. Patio is nice but yet again difficult to find a place to sit since it's so popular.”

There were another options pizza pizza etc. But we thought we should go for local pizza shop near beach instead. We took risk it was worth it though. I was contemplating giving 4 stars, but the food is that good that it outweighs the negatives. Be prepared to wait a long time. It's very busy. But worth the wait.
