“As a restaurant I give this 3 stars because the food is ok. They do have some things that are more interesting than the usually pub fair. We had the Cornish pastie which is like an Irish meat pie. The fish and chips are ok lots of batter and a bit greasy. I should've just had one piece! But let's face it, I think everyone comes to the Ashton pub for the drive, the atmosphere, and the beer. Love the fact you can get tasters. Love that you can buy a growler to take home, be sure and save your bottle though it's a 10$ deposit. So the beer is great and the atmosphere make this a great place to get out of the city and hang with your friends. The patio is even better now that they covered it and have netting up to keep bugs out. Also if you come on a fall Friday you can go across the lot to the Ashton farmers market and see some crafts, wares and veg for sale. Also it's worth it to go to the corner store across the raid for more local crafts, gifts and treats!”

“We just went there last night for my husband birthday. We had a total of 20 people ( 3 toddlers and 2 babies in the count) The waitress was amazing, and she kept up to getting us all refills of drinks and checked in on us regularly.(sorry, we didn't catch your name) The food was amazing, they were busy bringing new things out so that it was all hot and fresh! They even let us bring in our own cake and brought it to our table with candles lit, and plates and spoons to eat it with, without a "sigh" or hesitation. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, We will definitely be back again. So, great that McDonald's Corners has a good restaurant! Thank you to the cooks and waitresses! See you again soon!! “I didn't know of Boulton House until a client of mine told me. We had originally planned to go to Sagar or Black Tartan but they were closed this particular evening. Lucky for us. What Carleton Place has now is 3 incredibly good restaurants. Boulton House is clean, bright, and comfortable. And the food was excellent and lots of it. Service was great. I will definitely be back!”

“Absolutely wonderful! Wish I could give them more stars... We had the 4 course tasting menu with wine pairings and it was a delight. I love how they insist on it being a surprise, added to the adventure. Excellent cuisine with an emphasis on local and seasonal offerings. They introduced me to some regional products I wasn't aware of. There's a winery in Carp that I may have to visit now... Last, the service was truly exceptional. I honestly felt like a guest. “Very good oriental cuisine with many choices of Tia and other hot spicy dishes. Customers need to be patient while dining as the service is slow especially at dinner time on a Friday. It was so busy when the grandmother was put to work serving. Apart from that everything was piping hot and friendly cost are good and the booze menu prices haven't been updated so having a few Chinese beers won't break the bank! I recommend this restaurant and if your in a hurry order take out!”
