“This is a gem of an Asian restaurant in the East end. It stands out for its homemade dumplings with generous filling and fresh noodle soup. Order it with sirloin. Very traditional. Service is quick and attentive. If you live in the East end, you now have an excellent alternative to Mandarin O. and Brother Wu for cheap, authentic Chinese.”

“The chicken tasted great, the rice was ok at best, but all that was included were three pieces of plantain for my large serving of jerk chicken. That, in conjunction with the bagged frozen vegetables they served, really took away from what could have been a good meal. There weren’t even any florets of broccoli just the stalk, and even so it was about 1 tbsp of vegetables. I did really enjoy the chicken, that’s the only item I’ll be ordering if I return.”

“Ordering online is best done on a desktop or laptop, their mobile site is spotty at best. However, aside from that, one of the best places to get pizza in the entire city. Prices are incredible and the portions are massive! We always order so much and end up with leftovers for lunch and supper. Talk about a bang for your buck! Tonight I picked up a medium hungry man 1 topping (double cheese, then added bacon crumble, mushrooms and ground beef) and a double cheese small poutine with two drinks. Cost less than $30 (taxes in) and was ready for pickup when I arrived 10-15 minutes later. Piping hot and perfectly cooked.”

“Pizarro's Restaurant has been serving home made Italian food to the Ottawa/Vanier region for 28 years. This small restaurant has a cozy feel and the staff are very friendly. The linguini with the rose sauce was lovely and just right for lunch. The facilities were clean and well tended and the patio is a fun place to eat lunch. “The chicken at this Hole in the wall restaurant is incredible. It is the most flavourful chicken I have ever had. However, the customer service leaves much to be desired. There can be inconsistencies in their food, with sometimes it being dry or less flavorful. The sides except for the fries are also quite bland. I would still go to this place to try their chicken because it is truly an Ottawa gem. ”

“What a great place to get a good sub. It's family run and the service is very quick and the sandwiches are always consistent. We've used them twice for party Subs and they delivered the party Subs and all of our guests thought it was a great idea. It's certainly turned a get together into a nice fun relaxed time. “Typical grocery store experience. I find checkout long on weekends. I would advise to go on early weekends or mid-week during the day. I find the fresh fruits and vegetables selection to be reliable, quality-wise. Maybe not so competitive with prices. I do like the location and staff seem friendly. The customer service is the best attribute here. They employ enough people. I never have to go chase one down. As well, the Customer Service counter is always open. Generally, a clean and tidy store but perhaps a bit small. Conveniently located near the central business district.”

Yes, its dated and has mismatched chairs but it feels homey. Staff are friendly and helpful. They give attention to each customer no matter how old or young. The food....so good. Prices are great.
