“A very good pub. A menu to satisfy all of our group of 8 motorcycle riders. parking was available and plentiful. We were forewarned that the spice level on their hot is hotter than what you get at the "cookie-cutter" pubs. I am not a curry dish fan, but those in our group that ordered it said it was great! We had a great lunch, the waitresses were attentive to our requests and had great recommendations, and our meals came at the same time.”

“The fried calamari was delicious. I would have preferred the kimchi not fried as hard, but it was a twist to the dish. The fish tacos was average at best, the fish portion should be a nice lightly fried whiting not what they have going on now, i should see the fish popping out the taco!! not impressed. The loaded potato was tasty and filling. Not shown was the cheeseburger, that my fiancee rave about. He ordered 2 more to go. I will stick to the calamari and the loaded potato. Atmosphere is boozy, love it and the wait staff was great. Would visit again.”

“Went here for a birthday, large party and there were a lot of other large parties there at the same time. This probably contributed to marginally slower time for the food to come out. That's really my only nitpick though, because the food was excellent...definitely one of the better italian restaurants I've been to, and I do mean much better. “Had breakfast here after a recent trip to my dentist. Breakfast specials include a coffee/latte for a reduced price which was nice. I had avocado toast and a fruit cup. Service was efficient and quick, and the food was fresh and tasty. I thought the portions were a tad small for the cost, but perhaps I need to come back and try some different lunch items. The place has a trendy atmosphere and in the summer there is a small outdoor patio space.”

“We’ve been to the Port many times, both before the renovations, and post fire renovations. In general the food is always delicious and they have a nice assortment of drinks from the bar to enjoy. The new layout is bright and spacious, although they moved the bar and it now blocks the best views of the lake. If you ever have a chance to sit on the patio, it’s well worth it. I was there recently for Sunday Brunch and the food was mediocre. As a friend said, “Toronto prices but not Toronto quality”. Although the brunch was a bit disappointing we’ve always enjoyed our dinner and lunch meals at the Port.”

“I loved the place’s vibe and the food was absolutely delicious. I knocked off 2 stars because we disliked the mannerism of our waiter. Right from when we stepped in, he acted like we were bothering him and he had something better to do. I wouldn’t go back there because service is really high on my list and I drove all the way there with my colleagues cos we wanted to try out a new place so ah well. That’s that. We all agreed the place was nice but he was the only waiter we saw there and the place was empty when we got there so he really can’t have been under any previous stress. I hope he does better.”

“Joey's Markville has evolved significantly in the past few years and is a go-to spot in Markham for a sit down meal with an elegant ambiance. Their selection of vegetarian meals has grown and it's opened up a lot of options as to what to eat. I appreciate the fact you can switch out chicken with soy chicken for a good portion of the meals, and their veggie burger is a great staple. Their meals are flavourful and there's lots of variety Service is fantastic as always, our server Kiera was helpful with food and drink options. Encourage reserving in advance as tables book out at least a week before, otherwise on a typical Saturday night it's a 20-30 minute wait on average.”

“I have a lot of food allergies and I am following a special diet for bone marrow cancer. I recently spent a month in the hospital and just got out and decided to go to Moxie’s in Pickering for dinner. I usually can’t eat anything while dining out. I usually order lemon water and steamed veggies. Both the server, Carolyn and the manager, Steve engaged me enough to figure out what exactly I was able to eat, and in fact took the list of foods I could eat directly to the chef who then created a meal on the spot specifically suited to my dietary needs. I have never once experienced anything like this. Usually, I get steamed veggies and lemon water and no one ever asked anything else to help me actually eat a meal. This experience was completely different for me and I was able to enjoy a lovely dinner this evening. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with any sort of dietary needs as they did not hesitate to accommodate me, nor did I feel like I was being a burden or high maintenance. They welcomed me and made me feel very much at home and catered to my needs specifically. Thank you so much for making me feel so happy and included at such a difficult time in my life!!!”
