Lancienne lorette Quebec city Saint augustin de desmaures

Initiale

Address: 54 Rue Saint-Pierre, Québec, QC G1K 4A1, Canada

Restaurant

“This restaurant is in the central tourist district of Quebec City. The dining room is quite large, and I liked the set up with large tables well spaced from each other. Decoration was a bit old fashioned, with lots of browns. Service was impeccable, the right mix of friendliness and professionalism. Food was also excellent - one of the best meals we had in Canada. They had asked upon booking if we booked for a special occasion, and yes, the desert plates had congratulations for us with our names for our wedding anniversary. It is a very expensive restaurant, but we believe it was worth it.”

“Randomly came in here on a Tuesday night, absolutely packed and lively. The host/manager was wonderfully accommodating and friendly. The staff overall are excellent, great to see a small kitchen staff bustling away hard at work to churn out excellent and fresh food. The Calamari was very fresh and a perfect portion to start the meal off. The linguini with seafood (cream sauce) was superb, very fresh. The Veal Limone was absolutely delightful with a bright and wonderful sauce, the mushroom tagliatelle on the side (definitely ask for it - also available as a main dish) was insanely delicious. A must try!”

Chez Rioux & Pettigrew

Address: 160 Rue Saint-Paul, Québec, QC G1K 3W1, Canada

“Amazing food and service. I was tempted to just ask for 20 more amuse-bouches. We were seated at a window table and were especially appreciative of the blankets and heater to ward off the cold. It gave an extra cozy feel to the ambiance. We will happily come back the next time we visit Quebec city”

La Bonne Étoile

Address: 160 Rue Saint-Paul, Québec, QC G1K 3W1, Canada

Restaurant

“I experienced my first tasting menu last night .... it was truly a pleasure to the eye and the stomach. I loved the philosophy that the restaurant has adapted ... using ingredients only available in Quebec. They are only open 4 months of the year. There were 7 courses, lots of vegetables presented in the most unusual way (cucumber sorbet, zucchini strips with melon, beet puree, cauliflower couscous, etc, etc.). The arctic char was probably my favourite. All the courses arrived at the table beautifully presented sometimes on lovely pressed glass plates, or lovely ceramic dishes (that I wanted to go buy). Service was attentive, but not rushed. The restaurant had an antique ambiance ... exposed beams, tin ceiling, hard wood floors, with accents of Quebec folklore here and there. It was maybe a little loud at times, but that could have been the noise generated at our table? I would highly recommend this restaurant.”

Bar Artefact

Address: Rue Saint Antoine, 10 Rue Saint-Antoine, Québec, QC G1K 4C9, Canada

“We had an exceptional experience at, Bar Artefact. We went for an after dinner drink and dessert. There are historical artefacts displayed in the bar, the decor is modern fun and inviting. 2 private sections with firplaces that overlook an ancient fort. We enjoyed their homemade hot chocolate with Kahlua and Baileys. Drink and dessert all in one! It was devine! Absolutely delicious. The service was spectacular, the prices were reasonable. We will definitely return to enjoy their restaurant as well.”

Chez Muffy

“My family and I were in Quebec for Christmas and we happened to sneak in for a lunch reservation a couple days before Christmas. Our experience was amazing! The restaurant itself has a great vibe and is in a fantastic old building near the river. Our server was incredible and truly made our dining experience as good as it was. On top of fantastic service, all of the food we had was delicious. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance if you are wanting to go!”

“Came in after a long day of traveling because it was close to our hotel. It was busy, loud and loads of fun. Ended up ordering pea soup and a side salad which was perfect! Then, we saw them deliver a piece of carrot cake to a nearby table....it looked quite good....so we ordered a piece to share and it was WONDERFUL!!! Service was good and we really enjoyed the meal and the evening. With one glass of wine and tip, the total came to under 40 $ Canadian...even with the carrot cake!!!”
