“My wife and I visited Valhalla Board Game Cafe for their grand opening. We were very impressed by how well the staff handled such a large crowd. Board game selection is unmatched. Food was delicious and hearty. Coffee and espresso was outstanding - would highly recommend as a Starbucks replacement if you pass it on your commute. Highly recommend!”

“We decided to try this new place, and it didn't disappoint. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the owner and staff who checked on us throughout our meal, ensuring we had everything we needed. Now, onto the food! The whole chicken wings were not only huge but delicious. I even asked the owner if they sold the breading separately, it was that good! Unfortunately, they don't. My son thoroughly enjoyed his hamburger slider, and my wife couldn't stop raving about the collards. If we could rate between 1 and 'slap your grandma,' Grandma would definitely have some flush cheeks! We'll definitely be back!”

“Found out about this place over a month ago. I've been here a few times and have not been disappointed. Great service and prices. They give you a ton of food with the lunch specials. Ordered the two meat special with orange and sweet sour chicken. Very good! Best in the area.”

“First time dining here and found the food, atmosphere and service to be very good. All three diners at our table agreed that the food was tasty, fresh and hot. The only negative was the hot salsa that we requested. The "fire roasting" was a bit overbearing making the salsa a touch bitter. However the regular salsa was very good. Tequila's will definitely be on our list of places to return. Pardon the state of the photo. I had already dug into my Enchiladas Suiza before I remembered to take a picture.”

“One of the best independently-owned stores you'll find in the Birmingham area. GREAT food, especially the Mexican food; it's worth going by just for the food, even if you don't need gas. Amazing selection of drinks, beer (including craft), snacks, and on-the-go needs. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff that work hard to keep the store clean. And even better, the owner and his family are always working as hard as the people they employ. They're great people and have earned every bit of their success. They value their employees and customers equally, and you'll feel it when you walk in. I can't recommend them enough.”

“It was my first time trying this place and I ordered chicken and cheese pupusas (flour flatbread with fillings of choice). This place is Salvadoran with a ton of options to try. I LOVED the pupusas! They cook to order, service is good, and they accept card payments.”

“don't let the former Bojangles building fool you the pizza and Alfredo. We're both outstanding.! don't pay attention to the cost just whip out your credit card to buy everything that you think might be good. you won't be disappointed. I think somebody back behind the counter is from Italy, or from New York..”

“King Buffet Pelham has a variety of food for different tastes. They have a bigger variety of dishes than in other similar buffet that I was at. Just on the weekend when we visited the restrooms was dirty, toilet paper everywhere on the floor, their trash cans was full, with trash around it. Floor was dirty. Well, the first experience wasn't good. It was really busy on the weekend. I understand, but they should clean it better, I am sure they get on weekends, lots of people dine-in all the time. Hopefully, it can bi fixed it because food was good. Next time we visited on the week day at lunch and it was cleaner. So that's why 4 stars and not 1 star. I need to check if it's clean on the weekend again.”

“This place was awesome! The service we received was outstanding. They are a high end/high quality butcher shop. When you come here expect to spend a little more but rest assured knowing that you're getting quality products for your money. I wanted two dry aged Ribeye steaks and the butcher came out personally to make sure he knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it cut. Then came back out to make sure I was satisfied with my steaks. We also got four of the seasoned hamburger patties and some Pimento Cheese. Everything was excellent. These were the first dry aged steaks I've ever eaten and they were delicious. The burgers didn't shrink at all like the ones you get in the freezer section of your local grocery store and were perfectly seasoned. The Pimento Cheese was delicious as well. I know this was a long review but it was warranted because of the level of service and quality of the product purchased. Please stop by and give them a try if you're ever in the area.”

“🚨 Fire 🔥 spot 🔥 alert 🚨 Handmade with genuine love and care, this non-descript little taco spot is legit. I talked with the owner Juancho, while he prepared my order. He recently moved here from Austin, Texas. Which arguably is one of the top taco spots in the nation, so he knows his stuff! The order was crafted with care, love, and an eye for presentation. Come try this hidden gem before it blows up big time! I believe they also do catering, so skip the prep on your next get together and give the Taco Madre a ring!”

“Absolutely fabulous! We got there at 4:00 when they opened. It didn’t take long for the place to fill up. The decor is nice. Reminds me of New Orleans. Service was outstanding! We had a trainer so I hope the local replacements can perform the same. Also, I was told there were only 2 locals in the kitchen, the rest trainers. Again, let’s hope for some good hires. The food was delicious! We had fish entrees and sides of mashed potatoes, hush puppies, broccoli, and cheese grits. Dessert was a delectable cheesecake. Can’t wait to return!”

“As a mom of four grown sons, and many, many years of searching for the perfect pizza, I have eaten a lot of them!! A few were good, but not perfect...until we found Uncle G’s! The pepperoni with honey drizzle was worth the 150 mile round trip! Don’t change anything, it really is perfect!! We will be making regular road trips for the best pizza I’ve ever eaten!”

“Moved here 3 years ago, and been craving African food. Food definitely meet my expectations. I will say it’s a little pricey and you do have to order a day before. Other than that it’s the food for me. Customer service is also amazing.”

“The food was amazing! The menu has a heavy Cajun/Southern influence and uses local ingredients. The Delta Classic tamales are legit and I can't wait to try other varieties. The Crawfish Etouffee sounds incredible. Sides are unique and tasty. Service was very considerate and attentive. I will definitely be back!”

“This was my first visit to Shugah's and I will definitely be going back! This is a delightful little tea house. I had the turkey sandwich on walnut & cranberry bread with a cherry cream spread, cucumber, tomato and onion salad on the side. Top notch. I highly recommend Shugah's.”
